Are you ready for Chaosbane? Bigben and Eko Software hope you will be and today are delighted to be found revealing the confirmed release date, beta details and those glorious pre-order bonuses.
Coming to Xbox One, PS4 and PC, Warhammer: Chaosbane will be releasing on June 4th 2019 in both digital and physical form, unless you decide to go all-in with the Magnus Edition which grants early access and a kickoff date of May 31st, alongside the addition of the Season Pass and, should you wish to traipse to a shop, a glorious Leatherbook.
The first hack and slasher to take place in the Warhammer Fantasy Battles world, Warhammer: Chaosbane will be found plunging us into the heart of the Old World, a continent marked by the Great War Against Chaos, a bloody conflict which ravaged the Empire of men.
This means we will embody a human, a high elf, a wood elf, or a dwarf, and discover the iconic locations of the Warhammer Fantasy Battles universe that has utterly captured the imaginations of millions of fans across the world.
Each class offers distinct abilities and gameplay too, and so as you cooperate – either online or locally – with up to 4 players, strategy will be essential to doing away with the hordes of Chaos. Thankfully we’ll be seen to be able to unleash Bloodlust, a unique mechanic in Warhammer: Chaosbane, which lets loose a devastating power that can change the outcome of a battle.
Before all this happens with that release date though, players will be given the opportunity to partake in two beta phases. These start in March, and will be accessible only to the players who have preordered the game. Aside from this exclusive access, they’ll receive an experience bonus active for the entirety of the character’s progression as well as a pack of 4 legendary crates.
The very first beta phase will run in March, with the second taking place in April, giving exclusive opportunities to discover the beginning of the campaign and to test the different classes and their synergy in cooperative mode.
Further info about how these betas will run will be released nearer the time.
Until then though you can check out the pre-order trailer below which should well start the hype building in many a Warhammer fan. Or you could visit the Xbox Store and start dropping that cash. The Standard Edition will set you back £52.99, the Deluxe Edition costs a little more at £57.49 and that brilliant Magnus Edition is up at a cool £70.74. Which will you be grabbing?
