Few children’s book series have built a fanbase quite as devoted as Warrior Cats, and now those adventures are finally making the leap into a brand-new RPG – Warrior Cats: Clans of the Forest.
Officially revealed by TRAILMARK Games and the Coolabi Group, Warrior Cats will look to bring an original turn-based adventure to Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch, Nintendo Switch 2 and PC later this autumn.
Rather than retelling familiar stories, this all-new adventure lets players create their own feline hero, choose a Clan and carve out a unique legacy across the forests of the Warrior Cats universe.

Choose Your Clan, Shape Your Story
Rather than stepping into the paws of an established protagonist, Warrior Cats: Clans of the Forest allows players to create a completely original warrior cat using an extensive range of customisation options.
From fur patterns and colours to tails, whiskers, markings and eye colour, every cat can be tailored before choosing one of the four iconic Clans: ThunderClan, RiverClan, ShadowClan, and WindClan.
Each Clan comes with its own fully fledged campaign, complete with unique traditions, rivalries, prophecies and storylines, encouraging multiple playthroughs from different perspectives.
Explore The World Of Warrior Cats Like Never Before
Fans of the books will immediately recognise many of the locations featured throughout the adventure.
Players will travel across forests, marshes and moorlands while visiting sacred places including the Moonpool and the Island. Along the way they’ll uncover hidden paths, solve environmental puzzles and encounter both legendary cats from the books alongside an entirely new cast created specifically for the game.
Relationships also play a major role, with choices affecting friendships, rivalries and the reputation of your warrior throughout the Clans.
Tactical Battles And A Legacy To Build
Outside of exploration, combat takes a turn-based approach, rewarding careful planning over button-mashing.
Each Clan offers specialised abilities, while StarClan itself can grant powerful ancestor attacks during battle. Players will also be able to develop their own combat style by unlocking new moves and experimenting with different stances to tackle rival warriors, dangerous predators and larger boss encounters.
Away from combat, there’s plenty of room for personalisation too. Your den can be decorated with unlockable items, while asynchronous online visits will allow other players to view the warrior you’ve created and the home you’ve built.
A New Chapter For Warrior Cats
With more than 200 million books sold worldwide, Warrior Cats has become one of children’s publishing’s biggest success stories, spanning novels, apps, Roblox experiences and more. Now, Clans of the Forest aims to give fans a brand-new story set within that established universe, rather than simply adapting existing books.
Whether you’re a longtime reader or discovering the world for the first time, this looks set to be one of the most ambitious Warrior Cats projects yet.
