Two Wildernesses, Countless Hunting Opportunities

Way Of The Hunter 2 takes players to the wild landscapes of North America and Africa, offering a diverse range of animals to track and hunt. North America’s wildlife includes moose, elk, bears, bison, rabbits and turkeys, while Africa brings encounters with hippos, buffalo, lions and Nile crocodiles.

There’s more to the experience than simply finding your next target. In New Laurentia, you’ll work alongside a skilled dog trainer and a former warden while investigating unusual behaviour among the local moose population. Over in Kilimaya Reserve, you’ll support a renowned safari guide, meet an eccentric archery trainer and attempt to recruit a legendary retired huntress.

The two environments introduce their own characters, challenges and wildlife, giving players plenty of reasons to explore beyond the immediate hunt. Whether you’re following a trail through North American wilderness or navigating the dangers of an African reserve, the adventure is built around discovering what each location has to offer.

Deluxe Edition Brings Early Access And Eight DLCs

The ÂŁ49.99 Deluxe Edition is available now, offering 24-hour early access alongside the Heirloom Pack DLC.

The pack includes two classic hunting rifles, a modern hunting rifle, a decorated scope and an ornate fountain featuring animal motifs. The Deluxe Edition also includes the Season One Season Pass, which contains eight DLCs scheduled to release during the first year after launch.

A New Chapter For The Hunting Series

Way Of The Hunter 2 follows the original Way of the Hunter, which we reviewed back in 2022, awarding it 3.5/5. Our review praised its depth and ethical approach to hunting, while noting some visual issues.

The sequel has already been available on Steam in Early Access since early 2026, where it currently holds Mostly Positive reviews. Now, console players can join the hunt and explore its two distinct wildernesses for themselves. We’ll find out how it plays in review soon.

Time To Head Into The Wild

With North America and Africa to explore, a variety of wildlife to track and a cast of characters to meet, Way Of The Hunter 2 offers a new hunting adventure for console players. The Standard Edition arrives on September 29th for ÂŁ34.99, while the Deluxe Edition is available now for ÂŁ49.99.

Whether you’re chasing a trophy animal or uncovering the stories hidden across the reserves, the wilderness is calling.
