Gaming isn’t just about zombies, death and destruction. Nope, you see, every now and then a game will pop up that will allow for a little break from the norm, a game that deals with nothing but delights. Webbed could well be that game.

Available to purchase and download right now on Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S, PS4, PS5 and Nintendo Switch – as well as on PC where it’s been for a little while already – Webbed focuses on the story of a little spider who is happily going about their way. Your task is to help this little soul head off and attempt to save her boyfriend from the claws of a bowerbird.

Priced at £16.74, Webbed will take you through a wonderful world in which you’ll be left to utilise the power of your web – and your wits – as you swing your way to glory. It’s the webslinging which is the most important of actions that you’ll take on in Webbed, sticking them to anything and everything in order to find progress.

With the opportunity to spend time with friends, showing off your webspinning skills and even taking time out to have a little dance, Webbed is one of those games which just oozes with style and satisfaction.

We’ll be looking to run a review of how Webbed on Xbox Series X|S plays out as soon as we can. If you wish to grab a download for yourself then you’ll find the Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S version over at the Xbox Store. Those on PlayStation and Switch will find it on their places too.

Game Description:

Webbed is the story of a happy little spider on an adventure to save her boyfriend from a big mean bowerbird. Explore the dangerous wilderness with nothing but your webs and your wits. Practise the art of web swinging to speed your way through the world! Leave your own unique mark by spinning webs through the interconnected world. Stick webs to almost anything and use them to create your own paths. Make friends with bugs, and dance with them. Some bugs could use a little help from a friend and might even join your rescue effort in return!

An Xbox gamer since 2002, I bought the big black box just to play Oddworld: Munch's Oddysee. I have since loved every second of the 360's life and am now just as obsessed with the Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S - mostly with the brilliant indie scene that has come to the fore.
