It’s been a hectic week, with all sorts of trailers and news coming from Gamescom 2016. Now though, we should relax and reflect on our favourite or most interesting articles in this past week 14th-20th August. There’s a real mix that you won’t want to miss.

Final Fantasy XV delayed

The word that no Final Fantasy fans wanted to hear – delayed. Square Enix had their reasons, but that doesn’t make it any easier to deal with the disappointment of waiting an additional two months to get your hands on Final Fantasy XV. Earthlock: Festival of Magic announced for September Games With Gold

We had the pleasure of backing Snowcastle Games via Kicktarter for this project to come to fruition and after a long development process, Earthlock: Festival of Magic debuts on the grandest stage of them all. No, not WrestleMania, we’re talking about Games With Gold which will bring maximum exposure to the turn-based RPG. Of course that also means it’ll be free to Xbox Live Gold Members and even though the rest of the month’s games haven’t been revealed yet, we’re confident this’ll be the standout title.

Titanfall 2 Open Multiplayer Tech Test now playable for all

As if everyone wasn’t hyped enough for Titanfall 2, the announcement of an open test available to all Xbox One and PlayStation 4 players was music to most people’s ear. Sure, it’s only a pre-alpha build of the game but it’ll still give us a glimpse of a couple of new Titans, Pilot abilities, game modes and maps. This technical test is available all this weekend and next weekend, so why not have a bash and help Respawn out?

Our Blake took a look at the best games to play with a couple of mates by your side to enhance the enjoyment. A few titles got banded around but his top 5 was spot on, there are very few better experiences than co-ordinating an attack on Rainbow Six Siege or playing a spot of football in cars and setting up a friend for a goal. Obviously, these aren’t the only games that are better with friends and if you have a few suggestions, stick them in the comments.
