Another week goes by in The Xbox Hub world and with winter getting a grip on us it’s probably best to stay wrapped up indoors and have a catch-up of what’s gone on this week. As usual we have a healthy mixture of Xbox One and 360 news and reviews worthy of reading.
If you are wondering what to play during the upcoming holiday period then hopefully our reviews will help offer a few options. Our fingers haven’t stopped this week so if you recently bought an Xbox One then be sure to check out our reviews of LEGO Marvel Super Heroes, Peggle 2 and Zoo Tycoon. Should you be retro gaming on the Xbox 360, why not have a peek at the XBLA episodic game The Raven – Legacy of the Master Thief.
We loved Borderlands as a game series, we love the way Telltale turned The Walking Dead comics into an award winning Xbox Arcade game. So imagine our excitement when it was announced that Telltale Games were planning to release Tales from the Borderlands. This is set to include many of the characters we’ve seen in the first two Borderlands games, let’s see if the brilliant Tiny Tina makes an appearance.
Matt Stone and Trey Parker are well known for writing the incredibly offensive yet hilarious animated TV show South Park. They’ve ventured into the gaming world before but this newest title South Park – The Stick of Truth, when it finally gets released, seems to be taking it to a new level of greatness. We saw a trailer for a ranged attack and it’s safe to say it will be for mature audiences who aren’t easily offended; on a personal note from all I’ve seen it looks full of fresh South Park humour.
All the wannabe detectives out there get your magnifying glass at the ready! Well maybe put it away for a little while, as it’ll be early 2014 before we see Sherlock Holmes – Crimes & Punishments on Xbox 360. After finding out a shed load of details about it, the excitement couldn’t be contained and I will be more than happy to hook up my old console for it.
As mentioned earlier, The Walking Dead XBLA was a real surprise hit for most people. It was such a success that the second season is on its way this coming week, check out the trailer below to get you in the mood for another emotional rollercoaster.
