It’s almost here… the exciting time of the year in which all of the biggest titles begin to drop, and we’re all forced to make a decision over which games to put the hours into first. If you prefer to wait a little before emptying your wallet on the latest titles – titles that will no doubt get dropped in a sale in the coming months – then you’ll probably be looking favourably on the weekly Xbox Live Deals With Gold and Spotlight Sale offers as you look for something refreshing to play.
Here are the best deals you bargain hunters should be looking out for between the 12th-18th September 2017… and the worst!
Grab – LA Cops – 75% off – £2.70
We’ve all seen at least one of those cheesy cop movies – you know, the ones in which they do more damage than good but in the end, they are always the heroes.
LA Cops is exactly that, and is all played out via an addictive top down fashion, with twin stick action and plenty of baddies for you to put to the ground – all in a vibe heavily reminiscent of the Hotline Miami series.
Whether you’re looking for a decent game to add to your collection or just another great bargain, LA Cops covers both categories, and is a deal everyone should be looking to take advantage of.
Grab – Spy Chameleon – 50% off – £2.00
We all love a quirky protagonist, and we’ve all wanted to be James Bond, so what’s not to love about Spy Chameleon, a game which practically mixes the two together with the end result being a spy chameleon.
Okay so it’s not quite as epic as that sounds, but that doesn’t mean Spy Chameleon isn’t a smashing indie title.
With five crazy missions and seventy-five levels, Spy Chameleon comes with plenty of content. Don’t let the cartoon visuals fool you either, being an RBG Agent such as Spy Chameleon requires some top skills and lightning reflexes if you wish to become the next best spy. Plus, it’s only two quid.
What are you waiting for?
Grab – Sheltered – 75% off – £2.50
When I first saw this game, I must admit, i was a pre-emptively judgemental. I saw the graphics and thought “What is this? This is an Xbox One game?” Nevertheless, I decided to push forward and now Sheltered is one of my all-time favourite survival games.
With gameplay that can punish you for the slightest mistake, and a family that require serious and strict management if you don’t want to find yourself eating the dog within the first few days, Sheltered is seriously one game you should be looking to add to your collection.
Whilst the visuals aren’t exactly current generation standard, the gameplay is truly fabulous and anyone looking for something to truly test their skills would do well to try and survive the wastelands of Sheltered – just don’t eat the dog.
Leave – Micro Machines World Series – 30% off – £17.49
Yay, Micro Machines! That’s what we all thought when Micro Machines World Series was first announced. Unfortunately, this year’s top down racer couldn’t quite live up to expectations, failing to bring back that nostalgic fan base for another race around the kitchen table.
Micro Machines doesn’t exactly sit at such an eye watering price when compared to many other games on the Xbox Store, but even the current sale price is too much to ask of a game that provides only a mediocre experience at best. Although there will be many hoping to jump in now the once great series sits at a reduced price, we’d recommend you wait for a much better sale before bothering with this one.
So, there we have it, this week’s deals that you should be keeping an eye on and if you follow our recommendations this week, you can have three great new games all for just £7.20. Bargain!
If you want to trust us on this one and fancy picking up any of the games above then don’t forget to stop off at CDkeys , grab some of their super cheap Xbox Live credit and save even more cash. We’d love it if you could let us know which games you pick up by posting in the comments below too.
