We’re on the verge of Black Friday, but once more the Xbox Live Deals With Gold and Spotlight sale is bringing us its own unique discounts. But in amongst the rather decent variety of bargains in place for Xbox One and Xbox 360 gamers this week are a couple of dodgy price cuts that should be ignored.
Let us take you through the best and worst of the Xbox Live Deals With Gold sale for 15th-21st November 2016.
Grab – Terraria – 80% off – £2.72 (Xbox One) / £2.39 (Xbox 360)
For many, Terraria is a poor mans Minecraft, but should you ever get involved with the basic blocky world that it brings, will no doubt find a huge experience that shines the more you play it.
In fact, if you get caught by the bug, Terraria is an absolute delight and contains enough content to keep you going for months on end and so the week long price cut that is being afforded it this time round should really be grabbed. For a couple of quid for either the Xbox One or the Xbox 360 version, you’ll find a world full of mystery, full of delight and full digging. Whether you decide to go it alone, delve into the online world or fight it out in split-screen mode, you should be grabbing Terraria now.
Grab – Contrast – 75% off – £1.99 (Xbox 360)
Contrast originally released on Xbox 360 back in 2013, bringing us a puzzling adventure like no other. Making the most of light, dark, shadows and more, the story of Dawn and Didi drew us in and the visuals delivered everything they needed to.
It then also released on Xbox One and wowed us once more and so anything that can hit us right in the chops twice, is well worth picking up. That is no more true when it comes in with a stupidly low price tag and the measly £1.99 that you need to find in order to grab Contrast on Xbox 360 should be found without hesitation.
Buy it, download it and ultimately enjoy it, for Contrast is a gamers delight.
Leave – Professional Farmer 2017 – 50% off – £16.00 (Xbox One)
We haven’t yet found a farming title that wows us…and if we’re honest, we’re not sure we ever will. It has to be said that Professional Farmer 2017 does at least give its competitor, Farming Simulator, a run for its money, but that is really no massive endorsement!
With a £16.00 price tag attached for the next week, Pro Farmer 17 still isn’t really worth the money. With bugs, glitches, long loading screens and a collision detection system that just sucks big time, even if Professional Farmer 2017 was free, we’d still be telling you to think before you bother downloading.
Just leave it well alone. Please!
Leave – Forza Motorsport 6 Platinum Edition Bundle – 15% off – £94.28 (Xbox One)
Forza Motorsport 6 is without question one of the greatest racing titles ever produced. In fact, aside from the more open world, more explorative Forza Horizon 3, it is quite possibly THE greatest racing title currently available.
But the Platinum Edition bundle comes with an absolutely huge price tag, with little in the way of a discount to tempt us in. You see, chances are, any racer worth their salt would have already picked up Forza 6, and so anyone sat on the fence will no doubt refuse to pay the near £100 required for them to get involved in the game and all the content it brings. Granted, new Xbox One gamers may just be a little tempted, but if there is a choice between Forza 6 and Horizon 3, then the latter wins every single day of the week. Especially at this price.
If you like the look of our purchasing choices then you should also be taking a visit to CDKeys and grabbing some of their super cheap Xbox Live credit too. It’s the smart thing to do!
As always, don’t forget to let us know what you are tempted by. If you want to check out the full deals for the week, then you can find the full Xbox Live Deals With Gold and Spotlight sale right here.
