Which of this week’s Xbox Live Deals With Gold bargains should you pick up? – 20th-26th Feb 2018

-

Another week has rolled round and once more the Xbox Live Deals With Gold and Spotlight Sale is being joined by a rather nifty Publisher sale. Between the 20th-26th Feb 2018, all Xbox One and Xbox 360 gamers are being treated to a huge number of discounts on all manner of games, with a host of EA titles included in and amongst them.

Now, normally we’d sit here and just tell you to go and buy yourself a subscription to the awesome EA Access on Xbox One, but if you can’t stretch to the £20 per year required, then the following discounts should be on your radar for this week. Which are the best and worst offers on the table thanks to the Xbox Live Deals With Gold and EA Publisher sale for 20th-26th Feb 2018? How about this little lot?

Grab – Unmechanical Extended – 75% off – £2.00

It’s the cheapest deal of the week, but that ensures that you get access to a rather decent little puzzle for next to nothing.

Unmechanical didn’t win awards from around the globe for nothing you know and now that it has arrived on Xbox One in Extended form, a host of new gamers can begin to experience its wares.

A puzzling platformer that delivers both challenging and unique ideas, Unmechanical Extended is more than worthy of its usual £7.99 price tag. So the opportunity to grab it for just a couple of quid should really be a no-brainer.

If you’re up for a mental challenge – then this will more than suffice.

Grab – Agents of Mayhem – Total Mayhem Bundle – 75% off – £10.00

The Agents of Mayhem may not have burst onto the scene to steal the Saints Row thunder like many predicted, but should you have spent some time with the madcap bunch of Agents, would have still found a decent adventure.

The Total Mayhem Bundle ensures that you get access to the full base game, plus a whole ton of DLC add-ons, with new skins and characters all included. If you’re in the market for a crazy open world experience and loved the Third Street Saints previously, then you’ll surely like what is found in Agents of Mayhem.

And this bundle is at a more than tempting price.

Tempter – Unravel – 75% off – £3.75

What’s that we have here? An EA Access Vault title you say? Well yes, it is. But it’s so damn cheap you’d be crazy to leave it be.

Unravel hit our consoles with a huge amount of hype, but the short tale of Yarny and his adventures through Scandinavia still rang true with many, with the puzzling experience in with the best games of 2016.

The fact you can now get it for just £3.75 is crazy. Snap it up! Unless you’ve got Access – which is the reason it is in this ‘Tempter’ category.

Tempter – Mirror’s Edge Catalyst – 75% off – £5.00

Again, like Unravel up above, this is a game that is fully playable from the EA Access Vault on Xbox One. But again, the low price that it is available for this next week is still a bit too good to turn down.

If you have Access, then go and enjoy everything that brings, but if not, you’ll struggle to find a better place to spend your £5 pocket money than with Mirror’s Edge Catalyst.

Just go and take some time messing around in the City of Glass.

Leave – Farming Simulator 17 Platinum Edition – 33% off – £26.74

I could have been found including any of the EA Sports titles, or the numerous DLC bits and bobs in the leave section this week, but I’ll stick my neck out and plump for Farming Simulator 17.

But why? Well, not only is it not the greatest game in the world, but the price cuts found in the deals section this week are bordering on the pointless. The Platinum Edition especially is totally worth ignoring, as £26 odd for a game that will struggle to enthuse even the most dedicated farmers is far too high.

If you want a farming game, then it may well be worth you holding on tight for Pure Farming 2018 – it’s just around the corner and promises an altogether better experience.
