So here we are in the run up to the most festive day of the year, and no matter if you’re one of the many dashing around the shops trying to find those perfect gifts just in time for Christmas, or one of the early birds who had Christmas sorted months ago, something we can all appreciate at this time of year is the joy of some well-priced bargains.

With the arrival of a fresh batch of Xbox Live Deals With Gold discounts, let’s take a look to see which titles you should – and shouldn’t – be casting your eyes towards to bridge the gap to Christmas.

GrabMetro Redux Bundle – 80% off – £4.80

Starting off the bargains this week is the incredible offer that is the Metro Redux Bundle.

This bundle includes both of the highly-acclaimed Metro games, Metro 2033 and Metro: Last Light, fully remastered and complete with all previously released DLC thrown in too. The Metro games follow the stories of Artyom, a man on a path to destroy the creatures known as the Dark Ones, that have appeared since the atomic bombs hit Russia.

Through both games, players are taken on an intense, story driven adventure – with multiple endings and some of the finest storytelling available, you would be crazy to pass up this great offer.

GrabNever Alone: Arctic Collection – 80% off – £3.04

Never Alone tells the heartfelt story of Iñupiaq girl Nuna and her Arctic Fox companion as they travel through the frozen lands, solving puzzles and gathering collectibles which give a cultural insight into the history of the land.

The Arctic Collection bundle comes complete with the first expansion title Fox Tales, which adds several new levels to this beautiful puzzle platformer as well as providing a well-received expansion to its telling story.

For the small price of little over £3 you could find yourself enjoying one of the most enjoyable tales available on Xbox.

GrabFragments of Him – 50% off – £4.00

Fragments of Him follows the story of four characters, Will, Sarah – Will’s ex-girlfriend, Harry – Will’s current boyfriend and Mary – Will’s grandmother. After his death players are taken through the life experiences of those he’s left behind and how his death is affecting them.

Whilst this may sound like a rather gloomy title to be sinking your teeth into, those who enjoy a good story will certainly not want to miss this one, and at the mere price of just £4, there is certainly much worse you could be spending your money on. For example…see below!

LeaveMX vs ATV Supercross Encore – 50% off – £12.00

Whilst fans were made to wait for the arrival of an MX game on Xbox One, MX vs ATV Supercross Encore certainly wasn’t the title to bring joy to those awaiting a great supercross game.

With very little content to change it from its Xbox 360 counterpart, and a rather weaker performance all round this time out, MX vs ATV Supercross Encore did nothing more than disappoint the many fans of the franchise. With the much smoother MXGP2 also available on Xbox One, it would be hard to recommend this game to anyone, especially at £12.00.

Don’t disappoint yourself this Christmas.

LeaveBattle Islands Case of Gold (3250) – 30% off – £13.99

We said it last week and here we are to tell you again, buying in-game currency with real life money really isn’t worth your hard-earned dough. Whilst there will be some who find enough enjoyment through free to play titles to consider buying in-game currency, the fact is, these games are indeed free to play, and should stay as such.

After all for those who enjoy the game enough, saving up the necessary resources to buy the things you fancy is something that can be done through gameplay – spending vast amounts of money on in-game consumables is likely to be something you could regret and that is most definitely the case here.

So, there we have it, the best and worst deals from the Xbox Live Deals With Gold sale for 20th-26th December 2016. Like our choices and fancy a splurge? Head on over to the Xbox Store now, but before you go why not check out CDkeys in order to pick up some super cheap Xbox Live credit for an even cheaper Christmas treat.

Don’t forget to check out the full Xbox Live Deals With Gold discounts either.
