The Xbox Live Deals With Gold sale has hit our consoles yet again, bringing a number of new discounts for Xbox One and Xbox 360 gamers to get to grips with. With it being rather close to pay day, then chances are we’ll all be looking for a new bargain to spend our cash on. But what are the best and worst deals on offer this week? We take a little look.

Surprisingly, whilst it isn’t the best ever week for discounts, there is very little out there which offends us. In fact, since we first started looking at the Deals With Gold sale as closely as we do, this is the first time we can’t find a single title that should be completely avoided. Even the £7.50 for EA Sports Rory McIlroy PGA isn’t too bad, saving us from bigging up the awesome EA Access scheme again.

That said, you really should be looking at picking up the following…

Grab – Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain – 33% off – £16.07 – Xbox One

Very rarely do you find us putting a game that costs over a tenner in the Grab section of these weekly articles. But Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain for £16.07 is an absolute bargain.

With a huge story campaign that will keep you going for ever, some gorgeous visuals, clever gameplay mechanics and delightful features, it more than delivers the goods. Some may argue that it’s actually too in-depth and too complex, but should you be looking to get your teeth into something a bit special, then we urge you to grab The Phantom Pain right now.

Grab – Another World – 20th Anniversary Edition – 50% off – £3.20

You may think Another World – 20th Anniversary Edition looks a bit rubbish. Well, it’s 20 years old for a start. But should you spend some time with the game, will quickly find a rather wonderful tale that hits you with a huge dose of nostalgia.

It’s not going to be the best game you play this week, but for a measly £3.20, is well worth a shot – especially if you haven’t played it in decades.

Leave – Nothing. Nada. Nowt.

For the first time ever, we have no major issues with any of the discounts in place.

As always, if you do decide to grab something, we’d love it if you could tell us what you pick up in the comments below. You may wish to save even more cash as well, and heading on over to CDKeys and picking up some cheap Xbox Live credit first should be pretty high on your agenda.

An Xbox gamer since 2002, I bought the big black box just to play Oddworld: Munch's Oddysee. I have since loved every second of the 360's life and am now just as obsessed with the Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S - mostly with the brilliant indie scene that has come to the fore.
