Which of this week’s Xbox Live Deals With Gold bargains should you pick up? – 28th March 2017

-

It’s been a bit of a busy time on Xbox this month, with releases such as Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon Wildlands, and Mass Effect: Andromeda offering players hours of fun, and when combined with some classic arrivals on the Xbox Backwards Compatibility program, you could be forgiven for forgetting all about the weekly deals that come and go.

But whilst some of the deals available have certainly been questionable in recent weeks, today marks a new set of Xbox Live Deals With Gold discounts – here are our thoughts on what you should be keeping an eye out for from the sale in place between the 28th Mar – 3rd April 2017.

Grab Zombie Army Trilogy 80% off – £8.00

We’ve mentioned this one several times here at TheXboxHub, and for good reason.

Whilst there are many top shooters available on the market, the stealth action brought in by the Sniper Elite series still feels special enough to keep us interested time and time again. So when you throw zombies, an incredible soundtrack and a beautifully grotesque level layout into the mix what do you have? Possibly one of the best zombie games ever made, and this week, for just eight quid, you could have yourself one of the most enjoyable zombie experiences on Xbox.

Zombie Army Trilogy isn’t just a solo experience either with up to four friends able to take on Nazi Zombie Hitler and his resurrected army for one of the most enjoyable co-op games available.

Grab Castle of the Seven Godsends – Redux – 70% off – £1.68

Whilst it may not be the best game on the Xbox Store, it’s rare that you’ll ever find a game for less the price of a coffee. So when a platformer hits the sales for under two quid you know that you need to be having a nosey on over to see what all the fuss is about.

Castle of the Seven Godsends – Redux takes players back to the good ol’ days of classic 2D platfromers, in a run ‘n gun, action shooting adventure across six worlds, to defeat the evil emperor Zaraaima after the infant heir to the land Dareca is kidnapped. Using the power of the seven gods, players must take King Kandar through dark woods, slimy swamps and more as you look to save his son from the clutches of Zaraaima.

All that for such a price is a bargain to be had by anyone.

LeaveWWE 2K17 – 50% off – £27.50

So WWE has somewhat of a cult following in the gaming industry as well as the real world, but I’m going to go out on a limb here and say what we’re all thinking really… are they really still charging us so much for the same title year in, year out?

Now I’ve got that of my chest let me tell you why.

Those with a fond memory of gaming back in the early ’00s will remember classics such as WWE Here Comes the Pain, and WWE Smackdown Shut Your Mouth. These were games that felt marginally different each year yet still kept us going back for more. Nowadays though it seems that whilst character graphics remain rather impressive, everything else has just slipped downhill, with each release feeling more and more like the last.

Is it really worth the asking price? Even at 50 percent off I still can’t recommend WWE 2K17 without feeling burned and therefore it makes this week’s list as the title to leave well alone.

So, there we have it, another week of new deals and our advice on just what you should and shouldn’t be added to your collection.

What do you think of our choices? Let us know in the comments below or via our usual social channels. Before grabbing any of this week’s bargains, don’t forget to head on over to CDkeys to pick up your cheap Xbox Live credit, to make sure your money stretches that little further.
