Which of this week’s Xbox Live Deals With Gold bargains should you pick up? : 30th Jan – 5th Feb 2018

-

Last week may have given us our first really exciting deals of 2018, but this week’s Xbox Live Deals With Gold and Spotlight offers will be competing for our money against the likes of exciting releases such as Monster Hunter World, Dragon Ball FighterZ and more. So, without further ado, let’s jump into the Xbox Live Deals With Gold and Spotlight Sale for 30th Jan – 5th Feb 2018 and see what you should and shouldn’t be looking to add to your collection.

Grab – Letter Quest: Grimm’s Journey Remastered – 70% off – £2.40

Legions of monsters, ghosts and evil bunnies stand in your path, and as grim reapers Grimm and Rose, you’ll need to utilise the power of words to pack the devastating punch that will send these monsters on their way in Letter Quest: Grimm’s Journey Remastered.

With each word spelt, players will battle monsters, earn gems to purchase upgrades, books and special items, and progress through each of the increasingly difficult levels. Gameplay takes the form of a turn-based RPG adventure, and this is one of the finest linguistic adventures available. Not to mention an absolute blast to play.

For just £2.40 this is certainly one of the best deals this week and one of the most unique adventures on Xbox One.

Grab – The Sun and Moon – 67% off – £2.64

Looking for a new platforming adventure? Like a bit of a challenge? Chances are you’ll love what The Sun and Moon has to offer, and for under three pounds, you’ll love the price too. With a unique mechanic that sees players able to dive into the ground before being flinging themselves high into the sky in a gravitational platform challenge.

Whilst it may not be the most expansive platform adventure out there, The Sun and Moon is certainly unique in both art style and play style and those wanting a different experience to the usual platformers filling the store will find a great experience – and all for the price of a coffee.

Grab – Shantae and the Pirate’s Curse – 50% off – £8.00

Although Shante: Half-Genie Hero is by far the best Shantae adventure you can play on Xbox One, Shantae and the Pirate’s Curse is still a fantastic title. In this adventure, Shantae must once more save her homeland of Scuttle Town thanks to the latest attacks of Ammo Baron. Thanks to having her powers destroyed in the previous adventure Risky’s Revenge, Shantae is adjusting to life without her Half-Genie powers and must use all of her human skills and along with her iconic hair whip attack to fend off the encroaching attakers to her beloved town.

If you’re looking for the next title to sink hours into then this is certainly one to consider. Whilst eight pounds may not be the cheapest deal available, the quality found in Shantae and the Pirate’s Curse truly represents a game that we all need in our gaming libraries. With a booming soundtrack that edges you along, fluid movement and a classic villain to take down, this is a hero adventure everyone should be getting behind.

Leave – FIFA 18 – 50% off – £30.00

It may certainly be one of the biggest, if not the biggest, sporting release of the year however the unfortunate reality is that £30 for FIFA 18, a game that’s edging closer to its next release, is a big ask especially when that game will be appearing on the EA Access vault for free in the next couple of months.

If you’re a big fan of football, or watching players utilise Ronaldo and Messi as an unbreakable one man army, then chances are you’ve already got on board with this year’s iteration of the FIFA series, so if you’re looking to get involved at this late stage, then you’ll be better off waiting it out a little longer until the game inevitably arrives on the EA Access vault. After all, a yearly membership for that is only £19.99 which means money saved that could go towards the other fine offers available this week.

So, there we have it, our thoughts on this week’s best and worst offers from the Xbox Live Deals With Gold bargains. Will you be picking up any of this week’s deals?

Before you go, don’t forget to head on over to CDkeys to pick up some super cheap Xbox Live credit to stretch those gaming funds a little further this week.
