This week’s Xbox Live Deals With Gold sale is jam packed with a ton of discounts. Whether you’re an Xbox One or Xbox 360 gamer, then chances are there will be at least one thing for you to pick up, with many more tempting you in. There are also, as always, a few rubbish deals that you should be keeping away from.

Let us tell you all about the best and the worst deals in the Xbox Live Deals With Gold sale for 3rd-9th May 2016.

Grab – Kalimba – 50% / 40% off – £4.00 – Xbox One

We may not ever been seeing a game from Press Play again, but the offerings that the studio dropped onto the Xbox One Games Store shouldn’t be missed. We all know that Max: The Curse of Brotherhood is a stunning game, but Kalimba ain’t bad either.

A completely different puzzler to near on anything we’d seen before, Kalimba sees you controlling multiple totems simultaneously as you make your way past some mind bending puzzles, more than decent platforming sections and beautifully bright visuals.

The £4.00 that it is priced at this week should be low enough to tempt you in. Especially if you’ve got a mate who you can play through it with!

Grab – Insanely Twisted Shadow Planet – 50% / 40% off – £3.37 – Xbox 360

Insanely Twisted Shadow Planet is one of our favourite XBLA games of all time and so the £3.37 that it is currently priced at is something you really shouldn’t miss.

The beautifully dark puzzles, exploration and smooth gameplay that is incorporated into ITSP means that if you are still gaming on Xbox 360, then this is one game you really should be picking up asap. In fact, we’d be urging you to download it even at double the price – it is that good!

Grab – LEGO Star Wars: The Complete Saga – 75% off – £2.99 – Xbox 360

Less than £3 for LEGO Star Wars The Complete Saga represents brilliant value for money.

Yes, the Star Wars tag may be enough to sell the game by itself (and if it isn’t, then the LEGO one should!), and admittedly the game may be getting on for nearly seven years old, but can we turn down the chance to play through all of the first six movies whilst being hit by the iconic LEGO humour?

Not for £2.99 we can’t!

Leave – Forza Motorsport 6 Ultimate Edition –  30% / 20% off – £57.39 – Xbox One

The Xbox Live Deals With Gold and Spotlight sale should, primarily, be doing one thing. Bringing us decent discounts each and every week and helping us get even more excited about the Xbox world than we currently do.

20/30% off of the Ultimate Edition of Forza 6 bringing it just below the £60 mark doesn’t in any way do that. I could also be throwing the big edition of Star Wars Battlefront in here too, but I’ve moaned about the price of that far too often in the past. Today, Forza 6 can feel my wrath!

Just leave it alone for it won’t be long before you can grab it at a much cheaper price.

Leave – Zoo Tycoon – 50% / 40% off – £22.49 – Xbox 360

Strangely, you can pick up both Zoo Tycoon AND Screamride in a bundled pack on Xbox One for £20. So how on earth anyone thought it would be a good idea to try and sell Zoo Tycoon on Xbox 360 as a single purchase for a couple of quid more than that then I’ll never know.

We’re not saying that visiting the zoo shouldn’t be on your agenda, in fact, we had great fun with it, but the price just ain’t right…at least not on Xbox 360.

If you like the look of the stuff above and decide to grab something, we’d love it if you could tell us what you pick up in the comments below. If you’re serious about saving even more cash, then you may wish to head on over to CDKeys and pick up some cheap Xbox Live credit first.

An Xbox gamer since 2002, I bought the big black box just to play Oddworld: Munch's Oddysee. I have since loved every second of the 360's life and am now just as obsessed with the Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S - mostly with the brilliant indie scene that has come to the fore. Gamertag is neil363, feel free to add me to your list.
