There’s no doubt, most gamers will have a rather empty wallet after the barrage of major titles released in recent times. So, what do we want? Bargains! When do we want them? Now! Well, let’s see how the latest Xbox Live Deals With Gold sale, running between 6th-12th December, fares as we take a look at what’s on offer.

And whilst many will be disappointed at the sheer lack of titles in the sale, it’s certainly a case of quality over quantity. Here’s a handful of the best, and worst, deals you’ll find this week.

Grab – Hue – 50% off – £6.00

hue 1

Join Hue on an emotional journey through a greyscale world to find his mother, whilst bringing some much needed colour to the place. Forging together the puzzle and platform elements, the whole experience became progressively more difficult and mentally tasking. With its ‘outside the box’ ideas and insanely vivid colours, Hue absolutely opened our eyes to a beautiful world which we never wanted to leave.

At £6, that makes an already great game an absolute steal. Grab it.

Grab – The Wolf Among Us – 67% off – £6.60

We’re not sure anyone would argue against picking up the entire season of The Wolf Among Us for well under a tenner, unless you already own it of course.

A truly gritty tale, based on the Fables comic book series, gives a unique look at all our favourite fairy tale characters as they try to blend into the real world. There’s a lot to take in during this five-part episode adventure, and you’ll never look at these characters the same way again. Give Sheriff Bigby Wolf a hand as he investigates a death in Fabletown, where everyone should be considered a suspect. It’s grim, interesting and occasionally funny – and money well spend if you ask us.

Leave – NHL 17 Points Packs – 15-33% off – Various Prices

We are well aware that this may come across like preaching, but you really need to have a word with yourself if you’re spending nearly 20 quid and upwards on some packs for NHL’s version of Ultimate Team.

Not only will those points to spend on packs disappear in no time at all, the packs themselves aren’t guaranteed to offer the superstars you are after. Imagine spending more than the price of those two games mentioned above and ending up with some utterly rubbish players. There’s no longevity, and worst of all, you can earn packs by investing time instead of money.

If you like the look of our purchasing choices then you should also be taking a visit to CDKeys and grabbing some of their super cheap Xbox Live credit too. It’s the smart thing to do!

As always, don’t forget to let us know what you are tempted by. If you want to check out the full deals for the week, then you can find the full Xbox Live Deals With Gold and Spotlight sale right here.
