Which of this week’s Xbox Live Deals With Gold sale bargains should you pick up? – 8th August 2017

-

It’s been a quiet few weeks regarding releases for Xbox One, but with Gamescom just around the corner, what better way to get involved again than by grabbing the latest weekly deals to help pass the time. With that in mind, you may wish to know our thoughts on which of the deals from the Xbox Live Deals With Gold and Spotlight Sale for 8th-14th August 2017 you should be looking to add to your collection, and which ones you should avoid.

As always, if you do like the look of anything below, make sure you hit the team at CDKeys and grab some of their cheap Xbox Live Credit. It’ll ensure your money goes even further.

GrabCastles – 67% off – £1.32

Whilst there are plenty of blockbuster experiences available that will completely blow us away, sometimes all we want is a game that we can just sit down with and relax – with no massive pressures, no split-second decisions and no win or lose situations involved.

Puzzle games probably aren’t the first thing you would think of for such a game, however anyone who has yet to get involved in Castles may want to consider this cheeky little bargain as a no-brainer.

Castles tasks you with the puzzling construction of King Harold’s tower and with 50 levels of completely randomized story content as well as other enjoyable game modes, Castles is something you should be looking to add to your collection, and it’ll cost you no more than a bit of small change.

GrabDemon’s Crystals – 50% off – £2.00

Ulrican Demons – if you’re anything like us, chances are you’ve never heard of them. But for just two quid you could be guiding them through a frenetic world of countless hazards to ensure peace is restored to the world.

If you like fast-paced games, twin stick shooters or even both, Demon’s Crystals is a game you are certainly in need of.

It may not be the most well-known game on the store, but there’s no denying there is some serious quality found within this little gem. With plenty of weapons and a challenging experience on offer throughout, this is one deal you should be throwing your money at.

Don’t believe us? Why not check out our full review to see why two pounds is a price everyone should be happy to pay.

Tempter – Hitman: The Complete First Season -60% off – £18.00

Agent 47.

Whether you’re an old school gamer, or someone relatively new to the world, chances are you’ve heard of the mysterious assassin.

Hitman was a big success when it arrived back in 2016, with each episode bringing us a new playground with multiple opportunities to bring about death on our targets. Unfortunately, with the future of Hitman currently in the balance, and no news of a second season currently on the horizon, it seems such a shame to think that we may have seen all there is to Hitman.

But with the first season proving such a fantastic experience, it only seems right to head back into the world of Hitman once more – after all it’s the best damn Hitman game we’ve ever played and is a must own for any fan of stealth. Even at £18 this is one to recommend.

LeaveFarming Simulator 15: Complete Edition – 60% off – £18.00

If you’re contemplating buying Farming Simulator 15 I’m just going to tell you to stop. Don’t bother.

Whilst many of us have been keen on a decent farming sim for some time now, it seems the Farming Simulator series hasn’t exactly been one to maintain high quality.

With bugs galore and a repetitive and dull experience found throughout, this is one game that certainly doesn’t justify its price tag even with such a high discount. Later iterations are currently available – also providing an equally disappointing experience – so reckon any fans looking to get a lifelike farming experience are better off heading out to the real thing, or at least waiting for a decent farming title to arrive at some point.

So, there we have it, another week of do’s and don’ts, from the latest Xbox Live Deals With Gold sale. Do you agree with our choices? Let us know in the comments below.

I’m thinking about the Homefront expansion pass. I picked up a physical copy for $2 (two dollars!!) and figure the whole experience (crappy as it may be) for $12 isn’t bad.

That’s where I picked it up too. It cost less to buy the game than it does to rent them!
