Whacking Hell – now on Xbox

Whacking Hell! may only have been sat on Steam for a couple of months, but it’s picked up some decent acclaim in that time. Now, Sanuk Games are trying their luck with an Xbox release.

Ready to get whacked?

Available right now on Xbox Series X|S and PC (Xbox Play Anywhere support) is Whacking Hell!. It comes to the Xbox Store on the back of a Steam release to provide players with some top-down 2D shooting action. It does so by building in roguelite mechanics for good measure.

Priced at £7.89, this is a cheap option to consider should you be looking for a bit of a blast. You see, in Whacking Hell! the gates of hell have opened, and it’s up to you to go whacking, before you get whacked yourself. Multiple characters await, as do more weapons, various chapters, plenty of upgrades and more.

The question that sits with the release of Whacking Hell! on Xbox is a simple one – can you defeat the enemy and save the world?

Key features

  • 5 characters and 5 main weapons to unlock.
  • 3 chapters – each chapter contains dozens of waves of enemies and two bosses to defeat.
  • Acquire special powers and ramp up your skills during the game session, so you can face the ever-increasing difficulty within the chapter.
  • Acquire permanent upgrades in between game sessions, so you can progress in the game.
  • Reveal dozens of monster species in the bestiary.

Buy some bullet-hell

Whacking Hell! is on the Xbox Store, playable across both Xbox Series X|S and PC. It’s also on Steam should you prefer.

Stay tuned for our full review of Whacking Hell! soon. But for now, it’s probably worth you taking in the trailer below.
