Are you looking to spend a little cash on some bargain Xbox One and Xbox 360 games? Let us delve deep into the Xbox Live Deals With Gold Sale for 13th-19th October and let you know which of the sale items you should be picking up…and which you should be leaving well alone!
Grab – Steamworld Dig – £5.99 – 25% off – Xbox One
I have to admit to not being prepared for how good SteamWorld Dig on Xbox One actually is.
Dig, dig and dig some more as you take on the role of Rusty, a lone mining SteamBot who arrives in Tumbleton on the search for his long lost uncle. Initially progress is slow but give SteamWorld Dig half an hour or so and it’ll turn into an in depth underground exploration that turns up plenty of surprises.
Our review is right here if you need a read…but we reckon you should be buying it anyways.
Grab – Thomas Was Alone – 75% off – Xbox One
Thomas Was Alone may not bring you the longest gameplay experience on Xbox One, but what it will bring you is a few hours like no other.
A glorious storytelling with stunning narration from Danny Wallace and exquisite puzzles throughout, help Thomas and his friends find their way around a computer mainframe in which they’ve all gone a bit crazy! With simple controls and delightful visuals, Thomas Was Alone is something each and every Xbox One owner should be playing as a matter of priority.

Grab – Dragon Age 2 – £3.74 – 75% off – Xbox 360
This week’s sale isn’t the best for Xbox 360 owners, but Dragon Age 2 for just a few quid should be picked up whilst it is cheap. It may not be the latest Dragon Age title available, but for something that is on a console that is fast coming to the end of its life, is still a good deal of fun and by far the best 360 offer on the table this week.
Leave – Grand Theft Auto V – £36.84 – 33% off – Xbox One
The problem with the current sale for GTA V is that it’s one which we’ve seen numerous times over the months. £36.84 isn’t tempting enough for anyone who hasn’t yet experienced the best GTA yet or indeed anyone who possibly picked up a disc version and was slightly tempted to get involved in the digital side of things.
It’s a great game, there is no doubting that but until we see it come down to the £20 or so that we can currently pick the 360 version up for, then we’re telling you to give it a miss.
As always, you can find the full sale listing right here. Ensure you save yourself even more money by purchasing yourself some Xbox credit from here first…every little helps.
