Even though the Xbox Live Deals With Gold sale is a blessing for many, for others, it’s the best time to pick one or possibly two new games to add to their digital library. But not all the deals included are worth the cash…so let us point you in the direction of the best deals this week.
If we rewind seven days, you’ll find me complaining slightly at the quality of the deals on offer. Whilst the quantity couldn’t be faulted, the actual standard of the games that had been reduced wasn’t the best.
Thankfully that has changed this week as even though we may be slightly limited on the titles on offer, there is no doubt that they are of the highest quality.
…and the ones you should really be splashing your cash on right now are as follows:
Metro Redux Bundle – £15.00/50% off on Xbox One
A remastered and retouched Metro 2033 and Metro Last Light, Redux brings both games to Xbox One at a very reasonable price. With the addition of new play styles including the eerie Survival mode and no less than four different difficulty levels, the Redux collection will have you battling through the post apocalyptic waste grounds surrounding Moscow for a good while yet.
Metro Redux is quite frankly superb and at £15 is an essential buy, but if you’re still sat on the fence, check out our review.
Metro: Last Light – £7.49/50% off and Metro 2033 – £5.99/50% off on Xbox 360
If you aren’t running on XO, then without a shadow of doubt, jump in and buy both Metro 2033 and Metro: Last Light on the 360. You’ll be able to get hold of the same great stories, albeit without the HD bells and whistles, and being able to grab them for a little less than the Redux Xbox One bundle is rather beneficial too!
Whilst I’m here, I can’t go without pleading with you not to spend your money on the discounted NHL 15 on Xbox One. Instead, sign up for the EA Access scheme and get the game (plus a load more) for free! Including NHL 15 on this weeks sale is a little cheeky really!
