So you want to pick up a new discounted game but don’t know which of the Xbox Live Deals With Gold bargains are worthy of the tag? Let us go through the whole list of games on sale from the 15th-21st March 2016 and advise you of the best, and the worst, offers.
So without further ado…
Grab – Assassin’s Creed Unity – 60% / 50% off – £9.60 – Xbox One
It may have had a hard time when it first arrived but Unity is still a cracking game that just has to be checked out, particularly when you can grab it in digital fashion for less than a tenner.
18th Century Paris must be witnessed to be believed and the sheer scale, detail and amount of things to get involved with means that you really should be stepping into the shoes of Arno Dorian, battling through the slightly cumbersome initial few hours and then preparing to experience a world like no other.
Assassin’s Creed Unity is great. There you go, I said it!
Grab – Tembo The BadAss Elephant – 60% off – £4.00 – Xbox One
We had super high hopes for Tembo prior to his release on Xbox One and whilst he may not have hit the complete ‘must purchase’ heights that both us and SEGA were looking for, his initial adventure is a good fun, super-colourful playthrough, albeit one that has a few little control issues.
If you want something fun, challenging and slightly different from the every day norm, then pick up Tembo right now. You won’t be disappointed. Not for £4.00 anyways.
Grab – Batman: Arkham Asylum and Batman: Arkham City – both 75% off – £3.74 – Xbox 360
It must be said that the vast majority of exciting stuff in this week’s sale is geared towards Xbox One owners, but should you still be gaming away on the older generation, then there are a couple of titles you should be checking out. Strangely, both feature Batman.
The Arkham series of games started off on a high, before continuing right through to the end and for that reason, you should be picking up both Arkham Asylum and Arkham City immediately. For a layout of £7 ish the two games that you’ll be treated to are among the best that the old 360 has to offer.
It’s still a great time to game on Xbox 360…but only if you’re Batman!
Tempter – Rocksmith 2014 – 67% / 60% off – £18.15 – Xbox One
Admittedly, this one will only appeal to those who fancy themselves as something of an axe grinder, but Rocksmith 2014 Edition is very very good at what it does.
If you ever feel the urge to learn guitar and don’t want to go throwing cash at your local guitar tutor, then Rocksmith 2014 more than delivers. We don’t ever remember seeing it in a sale and that could well point to a new game being just around the corner, but that in turn means the £18 is money well spent.
It might just make you a better, more rounded person too. Or a rock star. You choose 🙂
Leave – Batman: Arkham Knight Premium Edition – 40% off – £52.79 – Xbox One
Batman: Arkham Knight was our game of the year for 2015, but even we can’t justify the £50+ price tag that is still being requested for the Premium Edition of the game, especially when you can pick up a number of other games for a combined lower price.
If you still haven’t checked out the Caped Crusader’s finest ever game, then we advise you to wait another six months or so and cross your fingers that sense will prevail and we’ll start seeing Arkham Knight down to around the £15/£20 mark. That is when you should go and get involved. If you’ve waited this long, what’s another few months!?
You can find the full Xbox Live Deals With Gold sale right here but unless you are feeling super rich, it’s probably for the best that you save even more money by heading over to CDKeys and picking yourself up some super cheap Xbox Live credit.
