It’s time for another Xbox Live Deals With Gold sale to hit home, but which of the numerous offers on the table are worth worrying about, and which should you give a complete miss?

A fairly decent week of sales for Xbox Live Gold members, the full list of deals in place for 19th-25th May 2015 can be found here. But you won’t want to buy them all…and there are a few that you shouldn’t touch with a barge pole!

GRAB – Unmechanical: Extended – 40% off – £4.79 – Xbox One

We love our puzzlers here at TXH and one of our favourite recent indie titles on Xbox One has been Unmechanical Extended. With 40% off, if you haven’t yet flown through a strange world filled with puzzles and mysteries then now is the time to make sure you do so. The story may be a bit bare and the ‘Extended’ add-ons have a few too many bugs, but the core game itself, and the unique puzzles it brings, is more than worthy.

If you’re still on the fence, take a look at our review in the hope it can sway a purchase your way.

LEAVE – Jet Cars Stunts – 40% off – £2.39 – Xbox One

We had high hopes for Jet Car Stunts but unfortunately it just doesn’t cut the mustard as an Xbox One title. You can have a read of our review if you like, but we’re guessing that even after checking that out, you still won’t have much enthusiasm for Jet Car Stunts, thanks to its steep learning curve and high difficulty level.

GRAB – Dragon Age: Origins – 70% off – £4.49 – Xbox 360

It’s normally a pretty easy job to choose the best Xbox 360 deals each week, but if truth be known, this week is a bit of a struggle. Whilst there are a number of discounts in place, nothing other than the £4.49 price for Dragon Age Origins stands out.

Whilst Xbox One owners should be tempted about jumping in with Inquisition (the deluxe version preferably – although the price is still a bit high for our liking), 360 gamers should be more than content enough with Origins. It may be nearly six years old, but Biowares first Dragon Age title is definitely worth a look…especially at such a low price.

LEAVE – Star Trek – 75% off – £3.74 – Xbox 360

Okay, so I can’t sit here and tell Star Trek fans to leave alone the one game that should satisfy their needs. But Star Trek on Xbox 360 is pretty poor and unless you’re a massive Trekkie, then even for £3.74, you should be keeping away. Trust us on that one!

So that’s about it for this week. A couple of must buys and a couple to keep well away from. Let us know your thoughts in the comments below.

An Xbox gamer since 2002, I bought the big black box just to play Oddworld: Munch's Oddysee. I have since loved every second of the 360's life and am now just as obsessed with the Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S - mostly with the brilliant indie scene that has come to the fore. Gamertag is neil363, feel free to add me to your list.
