The Xbox Live Deals With Gold sale for 1st-7th September is now in place and brings a fair amount of discounts to both Xbox One and Xbox 360 owners. But unless you’re some kind of millionaire, you’ll probably struggle to find the cash required to buy all of the games. So which are the best deals in place, and which are the worst? Let us tell you!

We really can’t sit here and complain about the Xbox Live Deals With Gold sale, as any discount in place is much appreciated, however, this week’s offerings don’t exactly allow many impulse pocket money buys. The following stand out to us…in both good and bad ways.

Grab – Geometry Wars 3: Dimensions Evolved (Save 50%) – £7.00/$7.50

One of our all time favourite Xbox Live Arcade titles found its way to Xbox One a little while back. Now though, the dimensions have evolved and you’ll find a fast paced, fluid and highly addictive title. Whether you go battling the times of your friends via the leaderboards, or take them on in a head-to-head, Geometry Wars 3 is a must play.

In fact, it’s quite possibly the best digital only title on Xbox One. Have a read of our review and then buy it right now

Leave – Call Of Duty: Advanced Warfare Digital Pro Edition (Save 35%) – £58.49/$64.99

Excuse me! £60 for Call of Duty Advanced Warfare? What kind of crazy sale is this?

Well, you may be able to purchase the Digital Pro version of Advanced Warfare with a cool 35% off, but with Black Ops III just around the corner we see absolutely no value in jumping in with this one…no matter how much of a Season Pass, extra weapons or the like you may get included.

Save your cash.

Grab – Rayman Origins – £3.95/$4.94

It may not be quite as good as the awesome Rayman Legends, but Origins is a good enough title to more than warrant the bargain £3.95 price tag. Set in a glorious 2D world, you, your friends and your family will have a joyful time checking out over 60 levels and 100 madcap characters.

The price near on demands you buy it.

Leave – Duck Dynasty – £11.99/$15.99

We couldn’t think of anything worse than spending some time with the Duckmen and even with a discount in place it still can’t tempt us in. If you ever manage to see the price above but with another tenner knocked off, then maybe think about…otherwise, keep away. Well away!

An Xbox gamer since 2002, I bought the big black box just to play Oddworld: Munch's Oddysee. I have since loved every second of the 360's life and am now just as obsessed with the Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S - mostly with the brilliant indie scene that has come to the fore. Gamertag is neil363, feel free to add me to your list.
