Have you got a little spare cash sitting in your wallet as you reach pay day once more? How about you spend it on a new game? Well, the Xbox Live Deals With Gold and Spotlight Sale for 24th-30th April 2018 is now here and it is bringing a whole ton of new games worth purchasing. But which are the best and which shouldn’t you touch with a barge pole? Well, this little lot are well worth a look…

Grab – Thomas Was Alone – 70% off – £2.16

This week’s Xbox Live Deals With Gold sale comes with the Curve Digital publisher sale alongside it. One of the very best puzzlers to have come from that publishing arm in the last few years is Thomas Was Alone.

A game that is highly addictive and normally comes with a £7.19 price tag attached is usually well worth a purchase, but with the current discount in place dropping that right down to just over a couple of quid, there has never been a better time.

If you’re looking for a puzzler that has taken the world by storm, then Thomas Was Alone is it. Go and buy it. Right now. Without fail!

Grab – Hue – 70% off – £3.60

If you like colour, then you are going to love Hue.

A super vibrant world awaits as you get thrust into a dangerous grey land that has been stripped of all colour. Your task is to hunt down coloured fragments, find your missing mother and bring life back to the drab world.

Hue brings mystery and peril, all wrapped up in a wonderful puzzler that just has to be played.

Tempter – The Flame in the Flood – 60% off – £6.40

Yet again another Curve Digital title but whilst this one comes just as highly rated as both Thomas and Hue, the price tag doesn’t quite enable it to become one of the best sale items of the week.

The Flame in the Flood is a procedurally generated river-based survival title that delivers a brilliantly unique take on life in the wilderness. Taking on the role of a young girl, you’ll need to scavenge for supplies, hunt down food and dodge the most vicious wildlife, before hopping back on board your raft and seeing where it takes you next.

A stunning – and I really do mean stunning – soundtrack accompanies this adventure, really allowing you to get immersed into the survival way of life. If you can stretch your cash to the £6 mark, then get a purchase of The Flame in the Flood in now.

Leave – Shantae: Half-Genie Hero Ultimate Edition – 10% off – £21.59

We can’t blame Curve Digital for this one, but even though Shantae: Half-Genie Hero Ultimate Edition will be a good game when it releases in a couple of weeks, the price being asked this week, when in the company of numerous games with massive discounts, ensures that it is one to leave alone.

By all means, if you want to head off on an adventure with the purple-haired one, then do it, but chances are this Ultimate Edition, with all the fancy bit and pieces that it brings, will be down in price before you know it… and probably by a lot more than 10%!

Even with a ton of DLC included, asking more than £20 in a sale is a bit much.

If you quite like the look of these games and wish to spend some of your pocket money on a purchase, then make sure you head on over to CDKeys and pick up some of their cheap Xbox Live Credit first. Saving money is always a good thing!
