Which of this week’s Xbox Live Deals With Gold bargains should you pick up? – 29th Mar 2016

I hate to break it to you but this week’s Xbox Live Deals With Gold sale is a bit rubbish.

Granted, it was fully expected to contain rather poor deals in comparison to last week’s Spring Sale, but I’m not sure anyone expected it to be so lacking in both quality and quantity. But hey, there has to be at least one decent deal in place for Xbox One and Xbox 360 owners to grab doesn’t there? Well, yes, thankfully there is. Aside from that though, we’re seriously struggling – unless you want to start buying new swimsuits for scantily clad ladies?

Grab – Beatbuddy: Tale of the Guardians – 33% off – £5.35

In amongst the numerous Dead or Alive costumes, Evolve packs and ex-Games With Gold titles that are being sold for silly money is one solitary game that is very much a must play.

Beatbuddy: Tale of the Guardians on Xbox One may not be at the super low ‘couple of quid’ price that we’d normally tell you to go and grab a game at, but for a fiver, you won’t get much more enjoyment from anything else. A delightful little game that comes complete with some of the best audio found in a digital game and some superb gameplay mechanics, Beatbuddy just has to be played…preferably with a set of your best cans caressing your ears and the volume turned up to 11.

If you’d like to know more about it, check out our review. You won’t be disappointed.

Leave – Transformers: War for Cybertron – 50% off – £9.99

It’s no secret that the latest Transformers title is rather good. Unfortunately, Microsoft have decide to tempt us in with a previous game… one that isn’t fit to lace the shoes of Devastation.

Transformers: War for Cybertron may sound like it’ll appeal to all fans of the robots in disguise but you should really do yourself a favour and ignore it, instead plumping for the brilliant Transformers: Devastation – you know, the one which we urged you to buy last week when it was in the Spring Sale (if you’re quick, you’ll still be able to get it with the discount in place too!).

Leave – Dead or Alive 5 Last Round – Hot Summer Costume Set – 30% off – £10.63

Ten pounds for some extra costumes? Don’t think about it for even a second. Do I really have to go into the reasons why!? I don’t think so.

So, as previously mentioned, the Xbox Live Deals With Gold sale for 29th March  – 4th April is severely lacking. Other than purchasing Beatbuddy on Xbox One, we advise you to keep your wallet firmly closed for the next seven days. You can however find the full Xbox Live Deals With Gold sale right here. The smart ones out there will also want to save even more money by heading over to CDKeys and pick up some super cheap Xbox Live credit first.

Don’t forget to let us know what you pick up in the comments below.

An Xbox gamer since 2002, I bought the big black box just to play Oddworld: Munch's Oddysee. I have since loved every second of the 360's life and am now just as obsessed with the Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S - mostly with the brilliant indie scene that has come to the fore. Gamertag is neil363, feel free to add me to your list.
