Which of this week’s Xbox Live Deals With Gold bargains should you pick up? – 7th-13th August 2018

-

Last week we saw the Xbox Live Deals With Gold sale be accompanied by a whole ton of brilliantly priced Team17 goodies, giving Xbox gamers the world over little excuse to go games buying. Now though a brand new sale is in place, and this time round it’s the turn of Bethesda to deliver the big discounts. But which of the sale price games available in the Xbox Live Deals With Gold and Spotlight Sale for 7th-13th August 2018 are the very best… and which are the utter worst? We take a little look.

Grab – Deus Ex: Mankind Divided – 80% off – £5.00

I hear ya, Mankind Divided is not as good as Human Revolution. But it is still well worth checking out… particularly now that is is going to cost you just a fiver.

Set in the year 2029, Deus Ex: Mankind Divided will let you jump back into Adam Jensen’s shoes once more, enabling the chance to mess around with a host of augments, utilising many cutting edge weapons and ensuring that the adventure ahead fits your own playstyle.

See, should you wish to go down the stealth route, then Mankind Divided lets you do just that. Similarly, the all guns blazing route works just as well. Just remember though, the fate of humanity rests on your decisions with nearly every action made seeing some consequence take hold further down the line. Can you live with the guilt of making a wrong choice?

Grab – Just Cause 3 – 80% off – £5.00

If stealth isn’t for you and you don’t fancy taking in Adam Jensen’s latest adventure, then you may well be interested to hear that for the exact same price point, the utter madness of Just Cause 3 could be yours.

Rico Rodriguez is a mad man, and that translates better than ever before in Just Cause 3. Explosions, destruction, chaos and tons of adventure can be yours as you go grappling your way across a wonderful open world which sees little being off limits. Want to take a car to your next ‘meeting’? You can do it. Prefer to take to the air? That option is more than open. In fact, if you need to get somewhere, you’ll find a multitude of options letting you get there. Just most of it involves a bit of death along the way.

£5 doesn’t buy you much in this world, but with Just Cause 3 it buys you one of the most explosives experiences currently available on console.

Tempter – Rise of the Tomb Raider: 20 Year Celebration – 75% off – £11.25

Let’s not beat around the bush here, Shadow of the Tomb Raider looks utterly stunning. In fact, it looks so good that it could well be the best Lara Croft tale yet.

With the release of Shadow just around the corner, what better time could there be then now to grab a copy of Rise of the Tomb Raider – especially when it comes in 20 Year Celebration form to include a ton of extra goodies such as new difficulty modes, cooperative adventures and more as standard.

Well, there isn’t a better time and the 75% off that Rise of the Tomb Raider is currently seeing should be just enough to tempt those Lara fans in to a wonderful adventure. You’ll kick yourself if you don’t at least think about it.

All being well it’ll hold you tight until Lara rocks up in Shadow form too.

Leave – Tour de France 2017 – 50% off – £17.50

Please don’t think I’m repeating myself here, for I’m not. Once again though we are seeing a Tour de France title stripped of a fair old chunk of its price tag, with the cycling gods trying in vain to sell a purchase or two of TDF 2017 on the back of Geraint Thomas’ stunning Tour win.

But much like last week in which I told you to completely ignore the 2018 version of Tour de France, I’m back to ensure you don’t bother spending any cash on the 2017 edition too.

Why not? Well, firstly it’s not as good as the latest in the long line of TDF titles, and secondly nearly £20 for a game that will only appeal to a centre sub-section of gamers AND is more than a year out-of-date is criminal.

Save your cash and spend it on some lycra instead.

Are you looking to grab a bargain or two this week? The full list of Deals With Gold discounts are available right here. If you do decide to grab something, then you could do a whole load worse than check out the cheap Xbox Live Credit that the team at CDKeys are dealing with. It’s well worth spending a minute or two over there in order to save yourself even more cash.

Don’t forget to let us know what you decide to pick up too. The comments section is down below and our social media channels are buzzing!
