Which of this week’s Xbox Live Deals With Gold bargains should you pick up? – 8th September 2015

It’s about this time of the week that we start getting excited…and start spending more cash on the numerous bargains in place with the latest Xbox Live Deals With Gold sale. Yet again then, we take a look at the best and worst of the offers on the table for both Xbox One and Xbox 360 owners…is the sale any good?

Well, um. Nope. Not really.

…but that doesn’t mean we can’t point you towards a couple of decent deals, although the vast majority this time round are to be kept away from.

Grab – Assassin’s Creed Chronicles: China – £4.00/$5.00 – 50% off

It may not come with the fanfare of the big AAA Assassin’s Creed titles, but AC Chronicles China is a decent enough game to pick up, with the current £4.00 price tag more than making it worthy of your time.

If you’re a fan of side scrollers, then China is possibly the closest thing you’ll get to the likes of the brilliant Mark of the Ninja on Xbox 360.

You never know, it may just tempt you in for when the additional Chronicles drop.

Leave – Any of the Battlefield titles on Xbox One

Here we are again, telling you to keep well away from some of the best games on Xbox One. Are we crazy? No, we’re living in the real world and telling you that instead of wasting your cash on a couple of EA titles, invest instead in a subscription for the EA Access scheme, giving you free access to Battlefield 4 and discounts on Hardline alongside all future content.

Okay, if you fancy playing Hardline right now, then check it out as this weeks price is just about okay…ensure you buy the Access pass first!

Grab – Assassins Creed 2Assassins Creed: BrotherhoodAssassins Creed: Revelations – all £2.24/$4.99 – Xbox 360

You may notice that we’ve left the original Assassin’s Creed out of the ones to grab on Xbox 360 this week and that was done for a reason. Whilst it would be nice to check it out, it’s by far the worst of the series and the three mentioned, AC II, Brotherhood and Revelations are a ton better. Pick up all of those for £2.24 but only bother taking the first game if you really, really, REALLY, need to experience the whole series.

As always, you can find the full listing for the Xbox Live Deals With Gold sale for 8th-14th Sept 2015 right here. Let us know what you pick up in the comments section below.

An Xbox gamer since 2002, I bought the big black box just to play Oddworld: Munch's Oddysee. I have since loved every second of the 360's life and am now just as obsessed with the Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S - mostly with the brilliant indie scene that has come to the fore. Gamertag is neil363, feel free to add me to your list.
