You heard about the new online multiplayer sci-fi first-person shooter that is the latest instalment in the massive multimedia franchise? If you’re thinking about Halo Infinite then you’re wrong. I’m talking about NERF Legends that launches today on Xbox, PlayStation, Nintendo Switch and PC.
NERF Legends takes the real-life guns many people have grown up with and digitises them into a first-person shooter. In a year where we are getting new Call of Duty, Battlefield and Halo games this may not be the smartest idea, but NERF guns have never really focussed on a grounding in reality. Plus, having a strong IP to begin with helps.
One thing NERF Legends does have going for itself is a single-player campaign. Grab one of the 15 authentic NERF blasters and discover 19 locations in the campaign. Defeat waves of enemies and bosses before taking the fight online in up to eight player matches.
NERF Legends also features power-ups such as magnetic darts, seeker darts and slow darts as well as upgradeable blasters and a variety of skins. Something that unfortunately real-life has yet to replicate.
