Saddle up, partner – the frontier is calling in Wild West Legacy.

Wild West Legacy launches today on Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation and PC (with Play Anywhere support), inviting players to carve out a new life in a sprawling frontier world filled with danger, opportunity and more than a few dusty trails.

Developed by Moon Punch Studio and published by Toplitz Productions, this sandbox survival adventure mixes open-world exploration, settlement management and homestead building into one ambitious frontier experience.

If you’ve ever fancied staking your claim in the Wild West, building a thriving community and becoming a legend along the way, this might be the perfect time to holster up and head west. We don’t think it’s going to be able to give Red Dead Redemption a run for its money, but it should still suffice.

Just remember – life on the prairie isn’t always a smooth ride.

Survive The Harsh Frontier

The journey in Wild West Legacy begins with a bit of bad luck. After a devastating attack on your wagon trek, you’re left stranded in the middle of the wilderness; battered, alone and far from civilisation.

From there, survival becomes the first priority.

Players must contend with the harsh realities of frontier life, including extreme weather, wild animals and limited resources. Cold nights, scorching afternoons and seasonal changes all play a role in shaping your survival strategy.

In short, the West wasn’t won easily, and Wild West Legacy makes sure you feel every dusty mile of it.

From Lone Survivor To Settlement Leader

While the adventure may start with a single homestead, things won’t stay that simple for long.

Before long you’ll find yourself expanding your small outpost into a fully functioning settlement, complete with homes, farms and working communities. Convincing fellow settlers to join your cause becomes key, as a strong community is the backbone of any successful frontier town.

Players will need to manage everything from food supplies and water access to job assignments and trade routes, ensuring the settlement continues to grow and prosper.

Running a town might not sound glamorous, but it sure beats sleeping under the stars with nothing but coyotes for company.

Explore The American Frontier

Beyond your settlement lies a vast open world inspired by the American Midwest of the 1800s.

Players can explore wide prairies, hunt wildlife, discover new resources and encounter other settlements scattered across the landscape. Organising treks between towns becomes an important part of the economy, helping transport goods and maintain supply lines across the frontier.

It’s a big world out there, so best keep your boots ready and your wagon packed.

A Frontier Full Of Possibilities

According to Moon Punch Studio, the goal with Wild West Legacy was to create a sandbox experience where players can choose their own path. And you can choose a first person perspective if you wish.

You might focus on survival, dedicate yourself to settlement management or spend most of your time exploring the open world. However you play, the frontier offers plenty of opportunities to shape your own story.

After all, legends aren’t born overnight… but they often start with a simple homestead and a stubborn refusal to quit.

Ready To Ride Into The Wild West

Available today on Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation and PC, Wild West Legacy delivers a mix of survival, settlement building and open-world exploration that lets players create their own story on the frontier.

Whether you’re building the biggest town in the territory or just trying to survive another cold prairie night, one thing’s certain:

The West is waiting – and it’s time to make your mark.
