Created by the Australian team at 5 Lives Studio and picked up by Deep Silver, Windbound has today been confirmed to launch on Xbox One, PS4, Nintendo Switch and PC come 28th August 2020 – and should you be looking to fully immerse yourself in some proper social distancing and are ready to learn how to survive, shipwrecked on an unknown land, this is going to be a game for you.
Windbound promises to run as a rogue-like third person survival adventure as you take on the role of Kara – shipwrecked miles from home and left to adapt, survival, and solve a ton of mystery.
Attempting to take the survival genre in an altogether new direction, Windbound will see you focusing on nomadic hunting and exploration, together with custom boat building and an immersive tactile sailing experience. The game will also provide endless replayability options thanks to a procedural world, dynamic wildlife and modular boat crafting. The question is, can you unravel the mystery behind the island you find yourself on, uncover the secrets within and eventually make your way home!
