Three Galactic Systems, Thirty Stages
Wings of Beyond wastes little time putting your reflexes to work. The game is built around increasingly demanding stages, with thousands of enemies standing between you and the end of the journey.
The 30 levels are spread across three distinct galactic systems, each bringing its own environments, enemy types and bosses. That means simply learning to survive one section isn’t necessarily enough – new areas will require you to adjust your approach as the difficulty ramps up.
It’s classic arcade shoot ’em up territory, then, where surviving the next wave is only part of the challenge and mastering each stage is where the real satisfaction lies.
Upgrade Your Ship And Keep Firing
Wings of Beyond also gives you some control over how your spacecraft develops. More than ten upgrades can be unlocked and equipped, allowing you to strengthen your ship and tailor its capabilities to suit your preferred playstyle.
That progression should prove particularly useful as the later stages become increasingly unforgiving. When the screen starts filling with enemies and powerful bosses enter the equation, having the right upgrades equipped could make the difference between another attempt and a successful run.
It’s not all about combat, though. Wings of Beyond includes more than 30 unique ship skins, allowing you to give your spacecraft a little personality while blasting through the galaxy.
