Worms Armageddon Anniversary Edition – Incoming!

The carnage is set to continue as Team17 and Digital Eclipse come together to release Worms Armageddon – Anniversary Edition to the world. Incoming…

Available right this very minute, whether that be on Xbox, PlayStation or Nintendo Switch is Worms Armageddon – Anniversary Edition. This one very much does as the name suggests, bringing the classic Worms Armageddon gameplay that was first discovered in 1999 up-to-date, ready for modern gamers.

The Worms are back!

Playable on Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S, as well as PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5 and Nintendo Switch, Worms Armageddon – Anniversary Edition will see us going toe-to-toe with the little weaponised wrigglers once more, with a game that has been given a proper glow up, treated to a content overhaul as it goes.

Worms is such a staple of gaming history that it doesn’t really matter as to whether you are a veteran to the battlefield, or a newbie looking for action – pretty much everyone will know what to expect. And with the Anniversary Edition, that means enjoying a special edition that boasts

enhancements, many quality-of-life improvements and a complete UI redesign across all platform versions.

Worms Armageddon also comes with online support, allowing up to six players to team-up or compete. And better still, that online fun is cross-generation so PS4 and PS5 owners will be able to play against each other, as well Xbox One and Xbox Series owners.

An Xbox gamer since 2002, I bought the big black box just to play Oddworld: Munch's Oddysee. I have since loved every second of the 360's life and am now just as obsessed with the Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S - mostly with the brilliant indie scene that has come to the fore. Gamertag is neil363, feel free to add me to your list.
