Team17 have today released a brand new multiplayer trailer for the upcoming Worms W.M.D, alongside a lovely infographic covering the facts and figures from the Worms rich 21 year history.
The new trailer showcases the classic multiplayer gameplay that is associated with the Worms franchise, and how it has been freshened up with new twists such as tanks, helicopters and the ability to now enter buildings. They all add new strategic elements to the gameplay as players get the opportunity to dive into the extensive single player modes and compete with up to six players and eight worms each in what promises to be some rather crazy local and online multiplayer action.
Released alongside the trailer is the latest infographic detailing how the turned-based strategic Worms affair has achieved over 70 million copies sold, fire off more than 77 million iconic Super Sheep and seen the death of over 3 billion worms during 21 years’ worth of madcap, annelid warfare!
Worms W.M.D will be available for Xbox One, PS4 and PC later this year. We’re sure there will be more details to bring you real soon.
