Xbox Players Finally Join The Adventure

Wuthering Waves casts you as Rover, a mysterious traveller awakening in a world still scarred by a devastating catastrophe known as the Lament. With memories lost and countless mysteries waiting to be uncovered, you’ll gradually assemble a team of powerful Resonators while exploring a vast open world packed with combat, exploration and story-driven quests.

Freedom has always been one of the game’s biggest selling points. Whether you’re climbing towering cliffs, gliding across landscapes or chaining together stylish combat abilities, Wuthering Waves encourages players to forge their own path through its post-apocalyptic fantasy setting.

It’s a formula that has earned the game a dedicated community since its original release, and now Xbox players finally get to see what the excitement has been about.

Version 3.5 Arrives Alongside The Xbox Launch

KURO GAMES has timed the Xbox debut to coincide with one of its biggest content updates yet.

Version 3.5, Blade of Past Resounds, Lingering Dream Hymns, introduces the brand-new region of Mengzhou: Land of Xuanfang, expanding the world with fresh environments, story chapters and characters to discover.

New Resonators Yangyang: Xuanling and Suisui join the roster, while Rover gains access to a powerful new Electro attribute. There’s also a selection of new weapons, outfits, challenge content and limited-time events for both newcomers and long-time players to enjoy.

Quality-of-life improvements also arrive as part of the update, refining everything from story autoplay options and Guidebook navigation to PC performance enhancements and voice customisation.

A Big Addition For Game Pass

Xbox has steadily expanded its catalogue of free-to-play experiences through Game Pass perks, and Wuthering Waves feels like one of the most significant additions yet.

While the game doesn’t require a purchase, its inclusion across multiple Game Pass tiers gives subscribers an easy route into one of the biggest live-service RPGs currently available, sitting comfortably alongside other long-running online experiences on the platform.

With an enormous world to explore, fast-paced combat, regular live-service updates and a major expansion landing on day one, there’s plenty for new Xbox players to discover in Wuthering Waves.

Whether you’re arriving through Game Pass or simply taking advantage of its free-to-play model, the journey begins today through the Xbox Store, playable on Xbox Series X|S and Xbox on PC, alongside the release of Version 3.5.

An Xbox gamer since 2002, I bought the big black box just to play Oddworld: Munch's Oddysee. I have since loved every second of the 360's life and am now just as obsessed with the Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S - mostly with the brilliant indie scene that has come to the fore.
