We all know by now that the WWE 2K series prides itself on having a hugely popular Superstar gracing the cover of its games and 2K have just revealed that WWE 2K19 will feature the ‘Phenomenal’ AJ Styles!
2K set up a press conference with none other than AJ Styles where he announced that he’d be following in the footsteps of last year’s cover star Seth Rollins by being front and centre for WWE 2K19. It caps off an impressive spell for the *spoiler alert* current WWE Champion and the ‘face that runs the place’ over on SmackDown Live, who’s gone from strength the strength since arriving in the company in 2016. If there was ever the perfect candidate to represent the WWE 2K19 motto ‘Never Say Never’, then AJ Styles would be that candidate.
He also revealed a special Million Dollar Challenge for gamers to get involved in when the game gets released. To participate in the WWE 2K19 Million Dollar Challenge, eligible players must accomplish four tasks:
- Players must beat a to-be-announced new mode in the game.
- Then, players can submit a promotional video proving they can beat AJ Styles in WWE 2K19.
- From there, four semi-finalists will be selected for a semi-final round of competition.
- One player will then earn the chance to compete against AJ Styles one-on-one in WWE 2K19. The prize? One million dollars.
And finally, we found out that WWE 2K19 will release worldwide on 9th October, 2018 for Xbox One PlayStation 4 and PC. That’s all for now, but be sure to keep an eye out for more details as soon as we get them.
