The bell has rung and the lights are up – WWE 2K26 has officially stepped into the ring.
The latest instalment of 2K’s long-running wrestling franchise is now available on Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, PC and Nintendo Switch 2, bringing with it the biggest roster in series history, new match types and expanded modes designed to give players even more control over the WWE universe.
With multiple premium editions already available and the Standard Edition (£69.99) launching on March 13th, WWE 2K26 looks to build on the strong foundations laid by last year’s game.

The Biggest WWE Roster Ever
One of the headline features of WWE 2K26 is its enormous roster. With over 400 playable Superstars and Legends, the game features talent from RAW, SmackDown and NXT alongside a long list of Hall of Famers and returning fan favourites.
That includes names like The Rock, John Cena, Rhea Ripley, Roman Reigns and Cody Rhodes, alongside legends such as “Stone Cold” Steve Austin, Bret “Hitman” Hart, Eddie Guerrero and “Macho Man” Randy Savage.
New additions and returning faces like AJ Lee, Rey Fénix, Rusev and Nick Aldis further expand the lineup, making this the most stacked WWE roster the series has ever seen.
CM Punk Takes Center Stage In Showcase
This year’s 2K Showcase mode focuses on one of the most influential modern WWE Superstars – CM Punk.
Titled “Punked: CM Punk’s Personal Journey,” the mode revisits some of Punk’s most defining moments in wrestling history, narrated by the “Best in the World” himself.
In addition to recreating classic rivalries, WWE 2K26 introduces alternate-history scenarios exploring what might have happened if Punk had never left WWE. It’s a mix of real-world moments and imaginative “what if” matchups designed to celebrate one of wrestling’s most outspoken stars.
New Match Types And Gameplay Upgrades
WWE 2K26 also expands the in-ring action with several new match types.
Players can now take part in I Quit Matches, Inferno Matches, Three Stages of Hell and Dumpster Matches, adding even more chaos and variety to the lineup.
Beyond match types, gameplay improvements include:
- Revamped stamina and reversal systems
- More interactive arenas and environmental weapons
- New offensive tools including stackable tables, shopping carts and thumbtacks
- Intergender matches available across multiple modes
Expanded Game Modes Across The Board
Nearly every major mode has received updates in WWE 2K26.
Universe Mode now introduces the WWE Draft, a long-requested feature that allows players to reshuffle rosters between shows and reshape their storylines. Additional tools such as a Universe Creation Wizard, improved Money in the Bank cash-ins and new promo types give players more control over their custom wrestling world.
MyGM returns too, with expanded match options, including intergender bouts and larger multi-man matches, while longer seasons and more shows add new strategic challenges.
This year’s MyRISE mode follows “The Archetype,” a Superstar returning to WWE after a two-year absence. Players can shape their character’s journey as either a heroic babyface or a ruthless heel. Importantly, MyRISE now continues beyond the main story, offering additional unlockables and challenges after the campaign ends.
From there, MyFACTION introduces Quick Swap matches, allowing players to instantly swap between faction members mid-fight. Meanwhile The Island, WWE’s social hub, returns larger than before with new factions, quests and environments to explore.
Creation Suite Expands Even Further
WWE’s famously deep Creation Suite receives a major upgrade this year.
Players now have access to 200 Create-a-Superstar save slots, double the previous amount, alongside deeper face and body morphing tools, two-tone hair colours and expanded image capacity.
Community Creations also grows, giving players more freedom than ever to share and download custom Superstars, arenas and other content.
Multiple Editions Available
Several editions of WWE 2K26 are available for players looking to jump in early or grab additional content.
- King of Kings Edition – £89.99 – Includes the Triple H ‘98 and Stephanie McMahon ‘00 playable characters, Ringside Pass Season 1 and additional bonuses.
- Attitude Era Edition – £119.99 – Adds The Rock ‘99, Kane ‘98 and Chyna ‘97, plus the RAW is WAR ‘98 arena, extra cosmetics and Ringside Pass Seasons 1–4.
- Monday Night War Edition – £139.99 – The most complete version, featuring additional legends such as Shawn Michaels DX, Macho Man Randy Savage ‘98 and Roddy Piper ‘98, the WCW Thunder ‘98 arena, and future WrestleMania 42 DLC content.
