Resident Evil Village Arrives On Game Pass
Few modern horror games have left the mark that Resident Evil Village has, and its arrival on Xbox Game Pass is a major win for subscribers.
Capcom’s eighth mainline entry continues Ethan Winters’ story a few years after the events of Resident Evil 7: Biohazard, dropping players into a remote European village filled with grotesque creatures, unsettling characters and relentless tension.
Village expertly balances traditional survival horror with more action-focused moments, constantly shifting tone as you explore its memorable locations and face off against towering threats. It’s a game that knows when to make you feel powerful – and when to take that power away.
When we reviewed Resident Evil Village back in 2021, we awarded it a 5/5, saying:
“Resident Evil Village is worth every cent. If you loved Resident Evil 7: Biohazard then you’ll be ecstatic about being able to step back into the shoes of Ethan Winters in this new title. This is a game that is worth every penny, offering up a great blend of horror and action alongside some superb character development.”
Now available on Cloud, Console and PC, this is one Game Pass addition that should not be missed.
MIO: Memories In Orbit Brings A Dreamlike Metroidvania Adventure
Also launching on January 20th is MIO: Memories In Orbit, a striking new metroidvania from developer Douze Dixièmes and publisher Focus Entertainment. This is a game we have high hopes for, so keep an eye out for our fast upcoming review.
Players awaken as MIO, a nimble robot exploring the decaying remains of the Vessel – a colossal technological ark overtaken by vegetation and malfunctioning machines.
Exploration sits at the heart of MIO: Memories In Orbit, with a richly interconnected world gradually opening up as new abilities are unlocked. Wall climbing, gliding and precision movement all play a key role, while combat rewards adaptability and creativity rather than brute force.
With over 30 enemy types and a lineup of imposing guardian bosses, there’s plenty here for fans of challenging, atmospheric platformers.
Available across Cloud, Handheld, PC and Xbox Series X|S, from the Xbox Store, MIO: Memories In Orbit adds something a little different to the Game Pass catalogue, leaning heavily into mood, discovery and mastery.
And There’s More!
