Just 1 new addition to Game Pass this week.

On the back of a week of Game Pass greatness comes a bit of a slowdown, with just the one new addition to the subscription service. But when given the chance to head into an explosive New Dawn with Far Cry, it shouldn’t be turned down.

Should you be a fan of open-world mayhem and have a Game Pass sub to hand then Ubisoft’s Far Cry New Dawn is bringing its vibrant post-apocalyptic playground to Xbox Game Pass this week, offering a thrilling adventure through a transformed Hope County, Montana.

As we detailed in our 2019 review, this standalone sequel to Far Cry 5 expands upon the familiar setting with new characters, challenges, and a captivating story that will keep you hooked.

A Game Pass World Reimagined

17 years after a global nuclear catastrophe, Hope County has blossomed into a vibrant and colorful landscape, but danger still lurks around every corner.

The Highwaymen, a ruthless gang led by the enigmatic Twins, are vying for control of the remaining resources, and it’s up to you to lead the resistance and fight for the future of Hope County.

Features That Will Make You Shout “Boom Boom!”

  • Post-Apocalyptic Playground: Explore a transformed Hope County, filled with lush vegetation, mutated creatures, and the remnants of a shattered civilization.
  • Two-Player Co-op: Team up with a friend and experience the adventure together, battling the Highwaymen and completing missions side-by-side.
  • Villainous Twins: Confront the charismatic and deadly Twins, Mickey and Lou, as they lead the Highwaymen on a path of destruction.
  • Guns and Fangs for Hire: Recruit a diverse cast of allies, including human Guns for Hire and animal Fangs for Hire, to aid you in your fight against the Highwaymen.
  • Homebase Building: Build and upgrade your homebase, Prosperity, to unlock new features, craft weapons and gear, and strengthen your resistance.
  • Turf Wars and Expeditions: Engage in Turf Wars against the Highwaymen and embark on Expeditions to memorable locations across the USA, scavenging for resources and completing challenging objectives.

A Far Cry Experience with a Twist

With its addition to Game Pass, Far Cry New Dawn becomes even more accessible to players who are eager to experience its unique post-apocalyptic world and thrilling storyline. It’s the perfect opportunity to revisit Hope County, confront the Highwaymen, and discover what the future holds for this resilient community.

Far Cry New Dawn is available from Feb 4th 2025 on Xbox Game Pass (Cloud, Console, and PC) for Game Pass Ultimate, PC Game Pass, and Game Pass Standard subscribers. Head to the Xbox Store and take in a download.

It’s also included in a Ubisoft+ sub.

So grab your weapons, gather your allies, and prepare to fight for survival in the vibrant and dangerous world of Hope County. Again.
