Xbox Game Preview set to expand yet again as Blast Brawl 2: Bloody Boogaloo gets a release date

The Xbox Game Preview (and Steam Early Access for that matter) are great options for those looking to dip in and out of games still in development, allowing gamers to help the team behind them push through a better, more refined product. It’s been something of a success since arriving on Xbox One and the scheme is due to expand once more with the arrival of Blast Brawl 2: Blood Boogaloo.

Sitting pretty with a $14.99 price tag and 26th October arrival date, Blast Brawl 2 is a lightning fast 2D brawler which sees you putting your skills to the test against brutal enemies, in four distinct levels with an 8+ friends Versus mode and a Wave mode filled with zombies, demons, floating skulls and robots for good measure.

After a mysterious portal appears to suck up some of Earth’s greatest warriors, the name of the game is to kill…or be killed! With seven fighters in play, each with their own unique abilities and playstyles, whether you choose the swift Ninja, precise Sniper, tanky Vanguard, Pirate, Viking, bold Warrior or cunning Brawler, Blast Brawl 2 most definitely sounds like something worth checking out.

Key features include:

  • Varied character roster — each with unique fighting styles and tactics.
  • Fast-paced combat featuring one-hit kills and no health bars whatsoever.
  • Battle with or against your friends!
  • Fight against deadly hordes of enemies in Wave Mode.
  • Huge library of over 20 hours of incredible music from more than 40 artists.

We’ll be sure to remind you when the game appears on the Xbox Game Preview programme. But for now, a trailer will have to suffice.

An Xbox gamer since 2002, I bought the big black box just to play Oddworld: Munch's Oddysee. I have since loved every second of the 360's life and am now just as obsessed with the Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S - mostly with the brilliant indie scene that has come to the fore.
