Xbox Games With Gold x Death Squared = Free!

-

It’s the middle of the month and once more the Xbox Games With Gold scheme is delivering the freebies to Xbox One players, as Death Squared gets stripped of its price tag.

Should you be the proud holder of a valid Xbox Live Gold subscription, then from now until the 16th August 2018, you can get hold of a copy of Death Squared for absolutely nothing. Having first arrived just 18 months or so ago, this cooperative puzzler can be enjoyed by anything between 1 and 4 players, with teamwork providing vital to your problem solving antics.

Attempting to guide a robot to its own colour coded goal may seem easy in theory, but for everyone to be successful you’ll need to keep a close eye on your teammates, as you all communicate well and try to achieve your goals.

With a Party mode in place for those who are done with the main campaign, and a Vault holding the most devious of experiments, for a free download, you may well find that Death Squared more than scratches an itch. Make sure you get over to the Xbox Store right now, get your download rolling and prepare yourself for a world full of puzzle action.

If you wish to know more, our full review is ready for your perusal, whilst those wanting to know more about the free Xbox One and Xbox 360 titles being gvien away via the Xbox Games With Gold scheme for July 2018 can check out our in-depth thoughts.

Game Description:

Does anyone actually read these descriptions? They do? And there’s someone reading right now? Well, in that case: Death Squared is a cooperative puzzle game for 1, 2 or 4 players, best enjoyed with loved ones who don’t mind a little arguing for the greater good. Prove your teamwork skills in Death Squared as you solve puzzles together or die trying! Each player needs to guide a robot to a colour-coded goal, but the path is beset with deadly traps and hazards. Teams of players will need close observation and communication to keep each other alive and discover a solution together. Complete the main campaign in single player or with two players, then take a group into four-player Party Mode for the ultimate teamwork trial! For those that can’t get enough, head to the ‘Vault’ to find extra experiments recommended only for the brave.

An Xbox gamer since 2002, I bought the big black box just to play Oddworld: Munch's Oddysee. I have since loved every second of the 360's life and am now just as obsessed with the Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S - mostly with the brilliant indie scene that has come to the fore.
