Moon Mystery
Moon Mystery – out now on Xbox and Play Anywhere

The cold, silent vacuum of space holds many secrets, and a new first-person adventure that has just landed on Xbox and PC challenges you to uncover them – Moon Mystery.

Moon Mystery, a new shooter full of puzzles and action, plays out as an interstellar odyssey from developer Cosmoscouts and publisher indie.io. It is now available on Xbox Series X|S and Windows PC for £16.74, and comes with full Xbox Play Anywhere support.

Prepare to fill up your oxygen tanks and top up your magazines, because you’re about to lose contact with Earth and begin a very long trip into the unknown.

An Interstellar Odyssey Begins

The story of Moon Mystery kicks off during humanity’s return to the Moon. You are a lone astronaut who, after arriving at the first permanent lunar base, loses all contact with Earth. Your journey begins as you must piece together what happened to the previous mission alongside the sole survivor, the base’s AI computer, and figure out just why everything went so wrong.

The grey rocks of the Moon are just the first step on a great journey. You will need to put your wits and platforming skills to the test while traversing treacherous landscapes and vast abandoned bases.

To help you get through these alien worlds, you’ll be able to pilot multiple vehicles, including spaceships, radio-controlled cars, lunar rovers, and even a submarine.

Adapting, Improvising, Overcoming

While you’ll need to outsmart puzzles, you’ll also have to deal with the hostile inhabitants of these strange new worlds. Malfunctioning robots will stalk the corridors, alongside other, more terrifying and mysterious foes. You’ll need to keep your gun loaded and your aim true to survive.

Your journey is packed with a variety of clever puzzles that you’ll need to solve to progress. This is a game where your brain is just as important as your trigger finger.

Your Mission, on Any Platform

Moon Mystery is an Xbox Play Anywhere title. This fantastic feature means your interstellar odyssey can continue, no matter which station you’re broadcasting from. A single digital purchase on the Xbox Store for £16.74 unlocks the game for you on both your Xbox Series X|S console and your Windows PC.

All of your mission progress and achievements are synced via the cloud, so you can seamlessly switch between devices. You can solve a puzzle on your PC, then jump over to your Xbox to explore a new world without ever losing your connection.

A Breakdown of the Odyssey

So what can you expect from this new first-person adventure? How about the following…

  • A Gripping Sci-Fi Mystery: Piece together what happened to the previous mission on the Moon and uncover why you’ve lost contact with Earth.
