Player Spotlight
Jonás Gutiérrez – Newcastle United had been on a horrible run that saw them be dragged well into the relegation battle with Hull City. Following his recovery from cancer, Jonas struggled to get time on the pitch but slowly he edged himself back into the team. On the final day of the season he was instrumental in ensuring the Toon Army stayed up by providing an assist and then sealing the win with a goal.
