I’m not sure what happened to Power Spikes I, but as the weeks roll by and the NEOGEO library on Xbox One continues to grow, it’s good to see something arrive that isn’t your bog standard 1-on-1 fighter. In fact, it’s just good to see a volleyball game hit our systems, as it seems like we haven’t had one since, well, I dunno, maybe 1994!?
1994 was indeed the year of release for volleyballing Power Spikes II, but now, in a generation of videogaming which has seen the likes of FIFA and Madden dominate the sports scene, it is back in ACA NEOGEO form.

An intense battle of futuristic fighting volleyball, it sees the top 8 teams in the world compete in Hyper Mode, throwing out serves, hitting up spikes and mastering the dinks in order to be the best damn team the world has ever seen.
Priced at £6.39 from the Microsoft Store, this port brings the usual NEOGEO leaderboards and game difficulty settings, allowing any sports fan who wants something a little different then chance to compete.
