There’s a pretty high chance that you’ve already enjoyed travelling across the USA with The Crew 2. After all, it’s been three years since the original launch and some 30 million players have taken in the franchise since the first game dropped in 2014. Now though, just as Season 3 of The Crew 2 rolls out, we find The Crew 2 Special Edition arriving at the starting grid – and this doesn’t just bring the base game, but adds in a smattering of new cars for good measure.
Available to purchase and download right now, The Crew 2 Special Edition is the latest version of Ubisoft’s open-world, go-anywhere, do-anything racer with it allowing players the opportunity to enjoy everything that the US motorsports scene is able to provide. It’ll have you driving a variety of cars, it’ll let you sit astride some of the fastest bikes on the planet, and it’ll be taking you both to the skies and across the seas in sports planes and boats. In fact, if you’re an adrenaline junkie, The Crew 2 offers up much.
It’s Season 3 that is just about kicking into play across the base game of The Crew 2 though and this brings with it a host of new ideas and quality of life improvements. You’ll find live Summit enhancements, there are Performance Part switches in place, fixed to Checkpoints and free stock tyre visuals.
It’s obvious that Ubisoft have much love for their racer yet that is no more true than with the addition of The Crew 2 Special edition.
Whilst this may not be of much appeal to those millions who already have the base game, if by some weird quirk of fate you haven’t yet jumped into the manic world it delivers, this is the version to take home. You see, for £47.99 – or massively discounted down to £9.59 for a limited time – the Special edition brings forth the base game plus a couple of tasty little extras, namely the Dodge Challenger SRT Demon Interception Unit and the Porsche 911 Speedster.
It may not change up the game all too much, but for those sitting on the fence of The Crew 2, there should be no stopping you.
