Way back in 2006, Rogue Trooper set the then benchmark for video game adaptations of comic books. Now, Rebellion hope the same will happen as Rogue Trooper Redux gets announced.
Arriving on Xbox One, PS4, PC and Switch, Rogue Trooper Redux will bring 2000 AD’s blue-skinned GI back into business. In development with UK studio, TickTock Games, the game also signals the first of potentially many 2000 AD titles, as the iconic IP opens up its wealth to other developers. Judge Dredd and Sláine anyone?
For now though Rogue Trooper Redux will be a remaster of the Rebellion classic, taking a whole new generation of players to the chem-blasted battlefields of Nu Earth. The bio-engineered GI is immune to the poisonous atmosphere of the planet, and as the last solider standing against the colonial Nort regime, will be intent on carrying out revenge, revenge and more revenge.
