We may now know who is gracing the cover of the biggest NBA release this year, but today Saber Interactive have released a game that brings nothing but classic NBA arcade action.

Available right now on Xbox One, PS4, Nintendo Switch and PC digitally, NBA Playgrounds will allow you to bring your A game to the table, as you fly in for some high action, classic NBA 2-on-2 arcade action. With the chance to play as NBA Superstars and legends from the past, including the likes of LeBron James, Steph Curry and Shaquille O’Neal, the progression system in Playgrounds will let you unlock further NBA players, whilst the solo, local and online multiplayer game modes will see you sorted with a host of online tournaments.

If you can’t be bothered with the huge realism that is brought our way with the other yearly NBA releases, and want something that is just going to deliver a ton of fun, then NBA Playgrounds may just be for you. If you’re an Xbox One gamer and fancy dropping the £15.99 required, then the Xbox Games Store will happily sort you out.

Game Description:

Classic NBA arcade action is back! Take your “A” game to the playground and beat the best in high-flying 2-on-2 basketball action. Practice your skills offline, play with up to three others on your Xbox or take your talents online to posterize your opponents with acrobatic jams and ridiculous displays of skill. Collect your favorite players from a massive roster of current and retired NBA superstars from every team. Travel to playgrounds across the globe to compete in online matches against the very best with your massive arsenal of dunks and moves. Use your fine-tuned skills to take on the master of the playground himself – Allen Iverson.
