To date, Xbox gamers can already play up to 2,900 games. However, gamers can expect to be greeted with even more worthy additions. Phil Spencer, Xbox boss, has already hinted that 50 games would be added this 2023.

While these games are of different genres and categories, several of these could be Xbox casino games while others would be based on things such as movies. For those interested in the former, they can also go to casinowhizz.com to check and explore online casino games beyond the Xbox territory. This can be done especially since gambling gamers have yet to seek confirmation about actual Xbox casino games to be added.

However, for those interested in movie-based games, in particular, the revealed list already hints that there are some noteworthy options based on popular movies. Here are some of them.

The Texas Chainsaw Massacre

Date of release: 2023

Compatible platforms: Playstation 4 & 5, Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, PC

Developer: Sumo Nottingham

Publisher: Gun Interactive

Texas Chainsaw Massacre is about to enter Xbox’s pool of horror games. Originally based on a move that mirrored the Slaughter family’s true-to-life actions, this game would allow its players to experience the thrill of escaping the horrors.

Players of the game will get to choose a side: they can play the potential victim or be part of the Slaughter family. If they choose the former, essential keys to survival would include running away and accumulating tools. However, if they try out the latter, they will serve as predators tracking down their prey.

Star Wars Jedi: Survivor

Date of release: 2023

Compatible platforms: PlayStation 5, MS Windows, Xbox Series X/S

Developer: Respawn Entertainment

Publisher: Electronic Arts

Though Star Wars already has its games in the Xbox pool, another one is expected to join this 2023. In this game, players will get to continue Cal Kestis’ journey from the previous game. However, events in this latest release would take place five years after the happenings of the game before it.

It may be necessary to take a look at the game before it, Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order. At the end of this game, both the Empire as well as the Inquisitors are exploring the galaxy to capture Cal. However, Cal successfully escaped and was able to break a token that led to force-sensitive children. The next release, Star Wars Jedi: Survivor continues this story after five years pass.

Assassin’s Creed Mirage

Date of release: 2023

Compatible platforms: Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5

Developer: Ubisoft

Publisher: Ubisoft

Though this story originated from a novel, its movie version was also released in 2016. In this incoming game, the player will be Basim and go through the events that took place 20 years before the Assassin’s Creed Valhalla. The game is said to revolve around the series’ three central blocs: parkouring, assassinations, and stealth. On top of that, players will get to virtually explore ancient Baghdad.

Resident Evil 4

Date of release: March 23, 2023

Compatible platforms: Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 5, MS Windows

Developer: Capcom

Publisher: Capcom

In Resident Evil’s timeline, its video game release came years before its movie. However, its movie franchise was popular enough to be continued alongside its game development. Now, a Resident Evil 4 remake is expected to be available on Xbox by 2023.

The protagonist of the game will still be Leon S. Kennedy. In the incoming release, Kennedy will embark on a mission to save the US President’s daughter who was kidnapped by a mysterious cult with Spanish roots. He will eventually end up in a rural area in Spain where he witnesses the people worshiping a mind-controlling parasite.

Because of its graphics upgrade, the incoming Resident Evil 4 is expected to be even scarier.

Hogwarts Legacy

Date of release: February 10, 2023

Compatible platforms: PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, Xbox Series X/S

Developer: Avalanche Software

Publisher:  Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment

Xbox gamers who are fans of Harry Potter will now be able to join Hogwarts School of Wizardry this 2023. The incoming game will let each player become a wizard apprentice and student of the famous fictional school. However, unlike the additional film series, the events of the game are not linked to Harry Potter and his enemy (You-Know-Who).

While all of these details can give a glimpse of what 2023 has in store for movie-loving Xbox gamers, other features and information about the games are yet to be revealed. At the end of the day, mere words cannot compare to experience when it comes to gaming. The good thing is that Xbox gamers can know what to look forward to.
