Ace Combat 7: Skies Unknown may still be a good few months from take-off, but today Bandai Namco have revealed the latest trailer for the game, just as we all start to land at Gamescom.

Ready to play in Hall 6 Booth A41-B41 between the 22nd-24th August at Gamescom, Ace Combat 7: Skies unknown have today received a new trailer.

It features advanced planes in fight, highlighting the conflict between the Kingdom of Erusea and the Osean Federation with reports from the Erusea side. The Osean Federation hasn’t respected the nation’s sovereignty by forcing construction of its giant space elevator on the Erusea’s territory. Princess Rosa Cossette D’Elise of the Kingdom of Erusea encouraged her citizens to fight and chaos started from that moment on. But the Osean Federation has many experienced pilots in their ranks.

If you’re visiting Germany and wish to get on board in order to practise your piloting skills, then you’ll be pleased to hear that you’ll be able to take both classic aircraft and VR models for a test flight.

ACE COMBAT 7: SKIES UNKNOWN is scheduled for take-off in 2018 for Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC. PS4 players will be able to play a full campaign on the classic mode and an exclusive and dedicated experience with specific features developed for the PSVR.

An Xbox gamer since 2002, I bought the big black box just to play Oddworld: Munch's Oddysee. I have since loved every second of the 360's life and am now just as obsessed with the Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S - mostly with the brilliant indie scene that has come to the fore. Gamertag is neil363, feel free to add me to your list.

Looks good (well the planes and combat do – the story looks like the usual ludicrous, forgettable fluff). Definitely a genre that is very under-represented on the Xbox so I’ll take what I can get!
