If you’re looking for alternative options to EA’s hugely popular Madden franchise, then you may be interested in finding out more about the latest instalment of the Axis Football series, which is debuting on Xbox One for the first time.

Axis Football 2018 looks set to allow you to build your destiny throughout a bigger and better Franchise Mode, which has an unlimited amount of seasons to play through – allowing you to choose between actually playing, just coaching and calling the plays, spectating the match, or even simulating the results. These 16 week seasons see your players progressing based on performance, age, potential, and playtime. Then there’s the ability to sign free agents, trade players and sign more coaching staff in what is the most in-depth version of the mode. All you need to do is decide upon the team you wish to control from the 36 teams included.

Outside of Franchise Mode, the other options let you go toe to toe with another player locally and take on the A.I. in a one-off encounter. Whichever mode chosen though, you’ll be able to experience the new physics system, expanded playbooks featuring over 1000 plays to call and the new player movements. That’s only if you own Axis Football 2018 of course and to do so, simply head on over to the Microsoft Store, where it’s priced at $19.99. Be aware that it’s only currently available in the US though!

Been gaming casually since the SNES as a youngster but found my true passion for games on the Playstation 1 (the forbidden word ooo). My addiction grew to its pinnacle with the purchase of an Xbox 360 & Xbox Live Service. A recovering GS hunter that will still play literally any game.
