We’ve all thought about what we would do if we were stranded on a desert island: Would you thrive living as one with nature or crumble under the pressure and hope a passing ship notices the signal fire rising from the beach? Your time to find out is right now with Stranded Deep on Xbox One and PS4.
The age-old question can finally be answered in this new survival adventure game from new studio Beam Team, a duo of developers rising out from Telltale Games Studio. As a plane crash survivor – the only way to arrive on a desert island it seems – you are free to explore the island and the surrounding seas. You won’t be alone though as all manner of beasts including sharks, snakes and giant squids are all looking for a tasty new meal. You.
But you can turn the tide back in your favour through robust crafting. Build weapons, tools, shelter and if you survive long enough, a way off the island!
As well as living on the island, you can freely explore underwater to see what lies below the depths. Shipwrecks can provide necessary resource but perhaps more importantly the sea provides all the bare necessities including food and water that you will need to survive.
Stranded Deep is available to download right now priced at £16.74 from the Xbox Store and is shaping up to be a survival adventure game at its most pure. It’s also available on PS4. Make a success out of it and this island getaway could become your own slice of paradise. And as always, let us know in the comments if this sounds like the game for you!
