We’re just about halfway through the month, so as with those previous to it, it was to be expected that we’d see new maps for Gears of War 4…and as if by magic, today marks the arrival of those new maps.
Available for download right now on Xbox One and Windows 10 via Xbox Play Anywhere are Impact Dark and War Machine – the two latest multiplayer maps for the Gears of War 4 multiplayer experience. Both maps are available for purchase at the price of £4.19 each or for free as part of the Gears of War 4 Season Pass. You know what to do – get over to the Xbox Games Store now.

Impact Dark Description – A crashed Condor aircraft burns through the night, filling this city block with a dark haze. The shorter sightlines of this map will keep encounters close range and require tight teamwork.
War Machine Description – The state of emergency declared in a populated COG settlement has forced the evacuation this transit station. The area around the tracks offers quick traversal, but is vulnerable to a powerful mounted turret.
